jerseydrew Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 The seller's id looks familiar. Is he a member here?ebay link
Guest pirateflynn Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Looks nice. There was a '78 dot that sold at a BIN just yesterday. It might have had a headstock repair. Hard to tell from the pics and I couldn't get an answer in time. Somebody scooped it up!I think I prefer this one anyway.
petemfa51 Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Yes, I'm a member here. This is serials old 79 Sunburst. You guy's know him better than me so I'll let him tell you what he thought of this guitar.I have a very bad old PORSCHE habit. I just purchased a car that I have been chasing for years. Culling the guitars to make room for more PORSCHE'S.Not a single issue with this guitar. Best sounding humbucking guitar I have ever heard. NO BS!! the only thing that sounds better is a 4 cam Porsche at redline!!!!!
cmatthes Posted May 7, 2008 Posted May 7, 2008 Serial has stated many times over the last decade that that '79 is the best Sunburst he's ever owned or played. He's owned and played a LOT of them.

RacerX Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Actually, I've been selling off guitars and pinballs to fund a 911 too... Soon, real soon Mark.
Mindseyes Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Dang that got up there fast!! I know i love love LOVE my '78 B/C i just got, these old Sunburst are awesome guitars
Joe G Posted May 11, 2008 Posted May 11, 2008 Getting up there!!I'm glad to see that the zero feedback winner in the auction was outbid. I have had way too many auctions get hi-jacked by non-paying zero feedbacks. Good Luck!
bizzwriter Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 Huh. Surprised there wasn't a flurry of bidding at the end. Ended at the same price it's been for the past few days...
