cmatthes Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 FYI...2004 model: 2004 Korina Standard - NICE!
Crwth145 Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 "BUYER MUST BE ABLE TO MAKE PAYMENT WITH IN 24 HOURS OF AUCTIONS END" Appears to be only a three day auction... un-real...
atquinn Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 It might be cheap now, but I'm sure it will end up going for a "non-steal" price by auction's end.-Austin
BTMN Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 46 serial numbers after my April '04 Vector. Bet it's real nice.
Bloozguy Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Went for $1618.89 plus shipping. I don't know if that's a good price or not, but I threw a $1600 bid in there and was in the lead until 30 seconds before the end.
guitarzandstuff Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Went for $1618.89 plus shipping. I don't know if that's a good price or not, but I threw a $1600 bid in there and was in the lead until 30 seconds before the end. Thats a bigtime steal for a Korina Standard!!
Bloozguy Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I'll hold out for one with chrome hardware...
crunchee Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Sorry, Bloozguy--I snagged it. I saw it on eBay even before I saw the topic here, and was weighing my options all weekend, decided to go for it at the last minute. I plan to post photos once I receive it this week, it'll be joining my current stash of 3 USA Standards. http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.p...ndards&st=0
Bloozguy Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 No problem...I shouldn't have been looking anyway Now if you ever want to get rid of one of those mahogany babies, just let me know
crunchee Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 It never hurts to look! Plus, looking is free! You never know what you'll find on eBay, especially with the economy being what it is now. Alas, I can't shop like I used to, I usually just look...except for this instance.I don't think I'll be letting go of my Mahogany Standards anytime soon, I bought mine between 1996 and 1998, and they are NOT easy to find, expecially the pickguard-less one.
BTMN Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I LOVE that guitar. Only thing that would make it PERFECT would be some tasty Double Cream HBs loaded in it. Preferably a '59N and a Custom Custom B. I bet you love your new Korina Standard as much. I took the pickguard off my '96 Korina Standard. Screw holes be damned. I suggest the same for your's too.
crunchee Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Man, that Korina Standard of yours is a beaut! One piece body?
Jim Browne Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 How 'bout that tooled Western tolex case?!Not too shabby either.
BTMN Posted November 5, 2008 Posted November 5, 2008 Thank you. It is #91/100 from the 1996 run. It is two pieces. Great guitar. Your new one is 46 serial numbers after a Korina Vector I bought in August. I'm such a Fanboi for Hamer Korina products. Wish I could afford more.
