Sunburst have been sold to two good HFC'ers. Thanks for the inquiries.

Old school Robin guitar for sale

Robin Tedley-Robin’s version of a shred telecaster. Very nice orange tint over I believe alder body with a very nice heavily birdseye maple neck. Very nice shape to the neck, not shredder thin, but actually has good "meat" to it. Duncan pickups and floyd rose licensed trem. Belly cut on the back and a very nice contour on the back for access to the high frets on this one. I would rate this one a 9/10 condition very clean and comes with roadrunner hardshell case. Asking $875 shipped in CONUS.

If you have any questions or need more information/pictures, please email me at Hamstd@gmail.com. I would prefer cashier's check or money order for the guitars, not set up for paypal. Not looking for trades at this time.

Thanks for your time.

Wow, that Robin is gorgeous! I'm no wood expert, but that grain pattern sure looks an awful lot like ash instead of alder (not that it couldn't be alder as the two can look similar).

hey, I just realized I hit 500 posts...and it only took me a little over 5 years to do it! :D:D Sorry to hijack the thread....back to topic, that's some great birdseye maple they used on that neck too. Looks even more figured then the neck on my 92' T-62...that's saying something!

HolLowskull: thanks for the nice catch. You might be right about it being ash and not alder (as alder typically doesn't has as much grain pattern to it and I don't believe it is maple). I have to admit the neck was a pleasant surprise when I first picked it up. Birds-eye-o-plenty. ;)

I have always been a fan of Teles and this one is a great shredder (I would put it up against many calis, it is not bad at all).

Thanks

The 78/79 Sunbursts often have some of the greatest neck profiles... sure seems like it would be easy to build up a cheap "player" here that will be packed with mojo!

Bump, still available, help out a couple of wayward sunbursts get on their feet again. Come on no Tedley love here???

I'm more after the 78' so maybe he can work it out for both of us. I need the shim style bridge too though. I have a 78' with a GREAT neck that someone buggered up the body trying to make it a tunamatic style.

Hi Hamstd,

I just sent you an email. Write me back when you get a chance. Scuba......you are not getting BOTH of them if I have anything to do with it!

Looks like if this works out, I could be the only one in Ottawa witha genuine '79 Hamer.

Thanks for your patience Peter. This could work out great I think. I'm interested in the Dim. pups you described.

Americans, you might have one of your best specimens lost across the border. ha ha.

:lol::)

Congratulations on the 79 Rob! As long as they stay in the club thats cool with me. I'm mainly after the bridges and 78' extras. Maybe Mr Pete can find me a bridge.

My next Sunburst will be a minty 77 whenever it comes along. :)
