I requested pictures and they sent them quickly. I posted one below. My nephew still lives in Milton but my wife would kill me if I bought another guitar right now. I just can't come up with the money. BubbaVO Posted May 15, 2009 Posted May 15, 2009 It's a Centaura - looks like a good deal.+1. Centauras had the offset dots on the fretboard and the "thick switch". In fact, that looks really close to the one I had. $400 is silly cheap for that. If you like super Strats and like the maple board, you'll love this thing.

He needed to check on shipping costs to my location, and just got back to me today. I just used PayPal to pay...if anyone else thinks they bought it (meaning I fell for a scam), please let me know!

Having the Tobacco burst Centaura might get me to sell the marble Centaura. I don't think I'll get rid of the 80 Special, because it's got a fairly low serial #, and I might as well keep it. I don't know when or if I will ever sell the Calis. They are imports and, well: "One of these things is not like the other!", but I doubt I'll ever get a USA Cali, because the price is just too steep on 'em. But if I stumble on another Craigslist special, then yeah: I'll get rid of 'em when I finally end up with a USA Cali. But please note: I'm counting two chickens that haven't hatched yet. Sent the money for one...we'll see if I was naive, or if my trust (with safety net of PayPal) was justified. I guess this is how I gamble!

The neck is shredder thin, the maple fretboard and sunburst finish are classy looking, and the tone is definitely there. One of the best sounding shredders I've heard.
