m chops Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 I'd like to offer up my 2004 Korina Vector for sale. It is in excellent condition. There is one small indentation on the neck at about the 7th fret that I can feel, but hard to see. Ok, so my photography skills are not much better than my guitar playing: (that is not a scratch on the D string post, but rather some grass.) The case is also in great shape. Right now, it has Phat Cats in it, but I will include the original Seth Lovers as well. It has a tone pros locking bridge, and I will include the original bridge as well. The gold V where the strings go through is tarnished. I keep polishing it, but it continues to tarnish, so I gave up. $1850 plus shipping. I will do paypal, but add 3%. PM me, or preferably email me: bfarah at riverlaw dot com It is one of two guitars I never really bonded with. I figured as long as I'm not using it, it ought to be sent to a good home. And there's a Kawasaki 900 that's been calling my name . . . Thanks.

hamertek98 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 Ben is a great guy to deal with! Buy with confidence, his descriptions are spot on.
Armitage Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Every one of those I have seen look tarnished. They do that just by sitting in the case.So what you're saying is you rubbed the thin gold plating off. Gold doesn't tarnish, what's underneath it does.Count this as a bump for a beauty guitar.

The V shaped tailpiece looks tarnished like brass. There are no fingerprints or sweat on that metal. All of those tailpieces look the same, so perhaps there is something wrong with the metal underneath the plating. There should be no way for the metal to "oxidize" under a layer of gold.

The white/boomers Vector stays home, my friend, but if you ever come to Montreal I'll let you play it. BTW, right now I'm recording some rhythm parts with it.
