Hamerweizen Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 Studio is now also sold pending payment. Hey I am the new guy around here, but it's kinda bogus in my opinion to go from "Studio, $500" to "now accepting bids on the Studio." This ain't eBay. And I woulda been in at $500 too, but immediately out upon seeing the "accepting bids" post.
sw686blue Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 And I thought I was losing my marbles...I, too, saw it for $500 and then it went to an auction style sale.
Punkavenger Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 This is what I find frustrating about Hamer guitars ... people talk night and day about how absolutely killer they are but get really quiet when its time to pony up some decent cash.

For future reference, the For Sale Board guidelines specifically say no auction sales. http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=24317
Pieman Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 If somebody (Buyer 1) agreed to the pay the asking price of $500, was in the CONUS and agreed to pay shipping and insurance (i.e., agreed to the seller's original terms), then Buyer 1's offer should have been accepted by the seller. That was the bargain. If somebody also followed and accepted those sames terms, and then a third, that does not mean that the seller can change his mind and welch on Buyer 1's deal.Maybe the seller could make amends and can kick in some dough to support the board. Would not make it all right but would be somewhat equitable.

Dirty pool at the least IMO.
