How do I emulate a crunchy/od/dist. P90 lead sound from my Hamer's?

(Can't afford buying any new gear right now...)

My guitars (all with SD-pu's) are:

MonacoElite - CustomCustom (br) / Custom (n)

StudioCustom - 59 / Jazz

ArtistCustom - S Lover / S Lover

Also a Fender Am Standard Strat with regular singlecoils.

Amp - Fender Cyber Deluxe

Pedals:

- MXR Classic 108 Fuzz

- Dunlop Cry Baby wah

Do you have any chance to split PUs? That would probably give it a chance.

I was more thinking in the lines of simply choosing one of the guitars,

tweaking the amp settings, select effect pedal and adjusting the tone knob on the guitar...?!

Most likely candidate is the Strat. Crank the mids on your CyberDeluxe and turn down the tone knob on your Strat.

That wasn't bad at all. Sounds quite good... even great with some tweakin'!

Thanks!

Yup and for SMALL $$$ the GFS Dream 90s sound pretty damn good. Definatly one of the better pick-up made from GFS.

Larry DiMarzio claims the Super Distortion was his attempt at making a humbucker sound like Leslie Wests screaming P90 tone.

Phat cats can be found for a reasonable price, so I guess I would swap the pickups on the Studio.

I wouldn't use Phat Cats if you want a hot sound. In my experience, the Custom Custom comes the closest to sounding P-90ish due to its fat mids.
