hamerhead Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 I got this from Matt (bruce919) and just ain't using it as much as I thought I would. I need to have a beater for a Floyd guitar, and this one is WAY too nice to pound on (for me, anyway). The Details: '85 Blitz with a fairly rare hockeystick headstock, in very good condition, with Floyd Rose trem and Slammer (I beleive) pickups. The guitar is completely stock. It has a couple small chips in the finish and the back has the usual worming. The back plate is missing. The neck is one of the nicest medium-sized I've ever latched on to, and the frets are in excellent shape. For a 20-year-old guit, it's extremely clean. Comes with the OHSC. $550 shipped (USA only). Trades considered: Three-hole Duotone (with no issues, please!) Daytona w/ rosewood board (no Seafoam) Beater Floyd Anything (prefer no reverse headstock)
formula73 Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 Well, if the above deal doesn't work out, shoot me an email:brandon.sellers@cvn68.navy.mil...as long as you don't mind holding on to it 'til later this year. Sending it to me now would be like asking to have it broken and/or thrown in the ocean.
Scottcrud Posted August 13, 2005 Posted August 13, 2005 That's f*ckin' cool, wish I had the $$$ right now.
hamerhead Posted August 13, 2005 Author Posted August 13, 2005 I've tried contacting all interested parties. I'm not too sure it worked (or you may have gotten more than one reply), so if you haven't heard back from me, please send me something again.ThanksTim
FlyNHawaiian Posted August 14, 2005 Posted August 14, 2005 How about a Trans Red Daytona? I know you said you wanted a rosewood board, but just wanted to give it a try!
hamerhead Posted August 14, 2005 Author Posted August 14, 2005 OOH - Nice Daytona!But.....The Blitz is sold pending payment. Thanks to all for the interest.
formula73 Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Up for sale. I can't justify keeping it with the amount of play it gets, and my guitar addiction is getting out of hand. The only difference now from then is a set of double cream Dimarzios: X2N/Super D but I'll throw the originals in the case cavity. Pretty great pickups actually-I just rediscovered them and they spent a short while in my Vector. Both spec out at 10.6ish on the meter. I never could get a good answer on the stock magnets, so I have no idea what they are. Anyway, I'll take 600 shipped in the CONUS, or I'll throw the stock pickups back in and it'll go back down to 550.
cspot Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Oh fer *%#@ sake!! "CONUS" how I hate that!! Is there anyone north of 60 with guitars and deals like this??? *sigh*...
Travis Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Just because I can't ever seem to remember, is there any difference in body size between the Blitz and the Standard?
zorrow Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Oh fer *%#@ sake!! "CONUS" how I hate that!! Is there anyone north of 60 with guitars and deals like this??? *sigh*... Our southern neighbours at the HFC normally are kind enough to work something out for us up here, don't worry. BTW, it is a shame that my technique doesn't fit the Explorer shape. When I saw it was available again I struggled very hard for not compulsively buying it. It looks like a great deal!
