They were fairly thin as far as the winding goes, but then had really tall legs to mount it. No covers were used - just tape wrapped around it like on a humbucker. Non-staggered - flush - pole pieces. It's a weird looking PU with the pole pieces sticking out of the bottom quite a ways!
How did they compare to other PU's used like the SD AL II's or SSL-1's? ... especially in regards to the high end?
