BubbaVO Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 the hottest North Korean, all accordion, Ah-Ha cover band .... do I need to say "in the world"?
a.bandini Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I'm somehow reminded of when my Dad used to make me watch the Lawrence Welk show. There was the same feeling of being forced to watch it, and of knowing that my Dad (or in this case, the Great Successor) would demand that I acknowledge their musicianship, even though it really didn't do anything for me. RAWK in the DPRK!!
killerteddybear Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Oh the humanity! The best part was the phone ringing right at the end.
gorch Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 Great interpretation. I wonder they had Internet access to grab the tabs.
Bjørn M Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I have (somewhat sadly) grown up with A-ha (I'm the right age, and two of them are from my home town). But I think I prefer this version
tobereeno Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 I wonder who was on the phone ?Kim Jong-Un, ordering their execution for playing non revolutionary capitalist music.North Koreans do not have internet access.

I think the accordion is way cool. Tejano music, zydeco, vallenata and cumbias all incorporate the accordion. And it sounds funny covering 80s pop.
