cswilder Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Late model G&L Legacy (4 bolt/CLF Serial#) with OHSC. It's a rare hardtail in Silver Sparkle with a mirror pickguard. It's flashy, but sounds and plays great as well. Set up with .010s. It's in excellent condition and shows very little wear. No dings or chips. The guitar is all stock with a #1 neck and non-locking tuners. $650 shipped or trade for a pair of 8 ohm Celestion Alnico Blues plus cash. Thanks, Chris
Guest cruster Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 I just bought an ASAT Junior, but that...that is The FREAKING SHIZNIT! Maybe it's the beer talking, but that looks cooler than the other side of the pillow. Must...resist....
cswilder Posted October 19, 2005 Author Posted October 19, 2005 Damn....I love ASAT Juniors! I sold one years ago and alway remember it fondly.Chris
Guest cruster Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Damn....I love ASAT Juniors! I sold one years ago and alway remember it fondly.Chris It must be the beer, I thought you said you remembered fondling it. Had to read that twice. Mine won't be here until Thursday, so I don't know if I love it or not. I'm hoping to get a decent warm tone out of it...reports are that the mahogany body/neck with the MFDs rolled back work pretty well for a 'jazzy' tone without being the prototypical jazzbox woody sound (hey, you have to be different, right?). That legacy, though (to deflect the hijack) is pretty awesome. I can see myself with something like that up under the lights, in front of the crowd...because, you know, I frequently get a crowd here in The Living Room Club, and like, well, we do have a couple of lights, even spots over the fireplace!...
cswilder Posted October 19, 2005 Author Posted October 19, 2005 Featherweight? No. I can't find my digital fish scale (it might actually be on my boat), but it's probably 7.5-8 lbs.
jwhitcomb3 Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 No. I can't find my digital fish scale (it might actually be on my boat), but it's probably 7.5-8 lbs. How much does a digital fish weigh?-Jonathan
mykel Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 How much does a digital fish weigh?-Jonathan quite a bitor should that be quite a few bits....sorry.
HAMERMAN Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Man, I REALLY like that.My #1 strat: I was about to jump all over you for the EMG's (for Gregs sake - I actually like them) but then I realized they are Lace Sensors. Nevermind! :-)
DavidE Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 LOL. Yes, Lace Sensors. Gold/Gold/Blue. They're great for sounding like a strat without the noise. Great for playing clubs.Paults put it together. Weighs under 5 lbs.

Great for playing clubs.Paults put it together. Weighs under 5 lbs. I've seen this guitar, maybe the ultimate playout Strat. Very very lightweight and it sounds good. I'm beginning to wonder if Lace Sensors don't sound better in lightweight guitars, they have sounded somwhat dull in heavier guitars I owned but sound good in my lightweight Clapton. Sorry about thread hi-jack. The G&L is a very cool looking piece. I think I remember seeing some ASATs done like this.
Turdus Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Wow! If that had a rosewood neck, I'd be interested. G&L makes a great sparkle finish. I got a quite a deal on mine new, as it sat in the shop for a long time... perhaps 2 years. I also took a beating selling it used, as not everybody cares for the finish. That said, now that mine is gone, of course I'd like to have it back.
serial Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Wow Chris-that looks great. Hmmm, a Cruisebass might look good all sparkly and stuff...
Turdus Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 Steve -- I had a constant love/hate relationship with that guitar. Played/sounded great. One of those that I had to have when I saw it, then, days later, wondered why the hell I bought it, LOL. I had owned this GMP, so I guess I have deep seated issues with sparkley guitars.
Jack C Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 I love sparkles AND GMP stuff. Steve - tell me more. That bass looks badass! Is it yours? Operational? For sale?
cswilder Posted October 20, 2005 Author Posted October 20, 2005 That bass does indeed kick ass! I guess I must have a soft spot for the sparkly things as well.
serial Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 It's operational and it does indeed kick ass. Elduave or Cmatthes could better comment on the live sound, but I like it just fine. That was a pic of it before BCRGreg set it up all nice and everything. Here it is thumping away...
cswilder Posted October 20, 2005 Author Posted October 20, 2005 The Legacy is sold....thanks for all the bumps and inquiries.Chris
