duncans Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 IS it worth it? It's very difficult to listen to clips and decide.
The Shark Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I like the Ethos better. Exact same front-end controls as the Dumble. The Zen is very good, however. Just not as much to adjust. For some, that's a plus. And you won't lose much money, if any, if you decide it's not for you.
murkat Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 First to be made "Dumble in a pedal" type pedal.A very refined, smoothed out TS-9, 8o8
ib2010 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 It is worth it. Gives the ability to heat/drive things up, without giving up the the good stuff.
bubs_42 Posted January 12, 2013 Posted January 12, 2013 I've stepped on a Ton of pedals and at the moment I just stepped on a Tim with the Bass and Highs turned off with just the drive and volume up. I have no idea why this pedal isn't a bigger smash than it is. Its a hit but damn.
geoff_hartwell Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 I prefer the Mosferatu, more gain on tap, but great tones all around
*juanka78* Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 A refined TS9, a little overpriced in my opinion. In any case go for the Zendrive 2, I had both and I definitely like the 2 more than the normal one...
tmsfo Posted January 26, 2013 Posted January 26, 2013 Didn't care for mine and sold it. I find however that some distortions complement certain types of amps. I just didn't find a good combo for my Zen. My current fav is a T Rex Alberta in front of a Fuchs blackjack 21.
