Reverb pedals

Question

I need some reverb for my Mesa TA15, I've always used spring reverb in the past. A lot of the recent highly rated pedals seem to be more of a plate reverb simulation, the you tube clips sound beautiful on ethereal solo pieces, but I'm a little worried how they would sound in a live stage situation.

This is one I was looking at :

Any recommendations, or words of wisdom Thanks Jaberwock

Have you considered the mini-tank pedals?

I've got the original Neunaber WET pedal, non-stereo, and it has served my reverb needs very well. Everything from mild slapback to ambient space choirs in this letter guy, and it all sounds great. I think if you have some way to take advantage of the stereo aspect, the pedal listed would be a great match.

I've had a Lee Jackson Mr. Springgy for a couple years and it's the best sounding spring reverb emulator I've heard. One knob, one switch, one LED...all you really need. Just got a Malekko Spring to save some pedal board space and it sounds great as well.

All the demos of the Neunaber on youtube seem to be of the " ambient space choir " variety, just a little worried it could a little too "washy" for stage use, can it do anything like a spring reverb.

The Strymon Flint looks very interesting with spring, and plate settings, and the Harmonic tremolo sounds amazing, but would cost me 400 US here; the Wet Stereo is 230 plus shipping.

The Strymon Flint has a great sounding spring reverb but if "Fender style" spring is all you're after there's a lot of stuff and a lot of knobs that you're paying for.

For the decidedly non-booteeky, I've had great success with the Boss Fender Spring Reverb pedal. Does the trick if that's the sound you're looking for.

Also, I love the Line 6 Verbzilla. Not necessarily for the spring setting, but it's got a bunch of great tones, very flexible and reliable. And cheap :)

Can you get a little more specific than that? If you're talking about the Ibanez Tank series, they've been out of production for around 10 years. Google "mini-tank" and the closest thing you get is a Tank Jr. power supply to power up to 5 9V pedals.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good plate reverb, and if I'm playing around with new ideas at home it would most likely be the one I'd use, so having the option of plate and spring would be fantastic.

The Tremolo side of the Flint sounds great too, especially the " Harmonic trem ", listen to Pete Thorns demo on youtube, but 400 dollars worth !! I'm not sure.

Living and working in the far east, choice is very limited , pretty much Boss, which sounds thin, and digital to my ears.

I would look vintage47 réal spring reverb in a pedal. David barnes is great and does a wonderful job in its quest on valco amp.

Worth checking and worth considering and us manually made.

I have a Neunaber WET and it will work well for low level reverb....I barely have the knobs turned past off and it just adds a little something....turn it up and it will do the wash away reverb thing well....I'll probably list it here soon cause I don't really need it.....I am not a pedal guy....except for treble boosters!
