Help identifying this Hamer?

If it was 25.5 scale I would probably be interested, although I am not sure how I feel about the inlays...

You can always remove them by putting in identical ebony inlays (I guess, Murkat or Greg would now if it's possible).

Probably cheaper to just change your name to Maxx.

Of course you would find it... :)

It seems there are some more interested bidders......

Hamer is not a well known brand here in Sweden. Can't remember if I have ever seen any USA made for sale.

There are some XT for sale on sites and they are very cheap, around 200-250 USD.

Think it will be hard to ever get money back on this guitar in Sweden if price increase much more. Of course that is not the interest for the bidders I think, it's the history and that it is unique (and hopefully a piece of quality craftsmanship)

I had my eyes on it already when you posted your question. I was ready to bid up to 5 000 kronor myself. Now it's past my highest level.

There have just recently been two Hamer's for sale by pawnshops in Gothenburg, both previously owned by Thomas Silver from Harcore Superstar. One was a yellow Hamer Blitz (explorer shaped) with a factory Kahler. I think it was priced at around 6 000 SEK. The other one was a Michael Shenker Hamer Vector. I bought that from Roli here on the forum. It has a neck break and I was thinking of cleaning it up so it would be invisible. But I could not get along with the Vee shape, so I sold it. It was a great guitar, and It sold for 5 000 SEK a few weeks ago (way cheap if you ask me, I was thinking of buying it back).

I have bought some fine Hamers here in Sweden over the years, and sold a few too. There are four, five regular visitors here on the HFC from Sweden, and there are some other collectors here in Sweden that are not on this board.

If you are looking for a really nice Hamer then there is a Hamer Korina 3xP90 Artist, made for the Hamer Fan Club some ten years ago. Quite rare and probably a great instrument. The guy who sells it bought it from the sales board here on the HFC perhaps two years ago. You can find it on the for sale section on Ljudbojen, or PM me and I'll guide you, if you are interested.

Also Ebay Germany usually have some nice Hamer's for sale. And there is a guy who calls himself BYK here on the HFC who has a nice T-51 for sale. He is in Spain and a great guy to deal with.

If you are looking for something particular just send me a PM through the board here and I'll try to help you. I usually know where to find nice Hamer's in Europe.

If you are about to buy your first Hamer I'd advice you not to buy something from a pawn shop. Buy from a reputable seller so you'll get something that is 100% okay from the beginning. I will gladly guide you.

Och bor du i Sthlms området och vill testa någon Hamer så kanske det går att ordna också, jag har några stycken ;):D Happy hunting!

Wow. That went high. Over 1300 dollars. I didn't expect it to go for more than 800-900 dollar at the most. Suspicious buyer though. Three negative feedbacks with non payments for stuff he bought.

I said £800.00 and it went for £836.00.

Do I get a coconut ?

I think thats a pretty good price for a guitar as cool as that one.

I hope someone equally as cool got it......

Anyone here ??

Coconut heading your way...

I'm pretty sure an HFC'er picked that one up, but it wasn't me.

Well, almost 1300 USD, was in the upper level for me..... Maybe Hamer is well known by pro's here in Sweden.

Disturber, good to know I can get help here in Sweden. I'm not in a need for more guitars rigth know, but when I saw the Snakeskin Hamer with ebony fretboard, set neck, etc it woke my interest. Thought it really looked cool!

I will definitely have Hamer in my mind when looking after next guitar.

Själv så bor jag i Falun.

I agree. Just the snakeskin ones go for more than that (in a real economy) let alone one with that kind of mojo.

Usually they go for a lot more but the inlays would've put off more than a few potential buyers.

If it had been on a worldwide site it would have attracted more bids.

Välkommen Pedahl!!!

Between Disturber and me we kind of have cornered the Swedish 4-digit market (Which doesn't mean a lot really) ;) I'm in Stockholm as well, so give me and Disturber a shout and we'll muster a bunch of really cool Hamers for you...
