I could use it for my acoustic rig.Thanks.
Bruiser Brody Posted December 22, 2005 Author Posted December 22, 2005 TomT, it doesn't matter a'tall - digital would be cheaper. I'm just looking to spend about $50-60 on a used boss or something like it.RobB--thanks but that's prolly more than I'm looking for! DavidE sounds like he wants it tho!Galejt--I dunno know what that is?ha Electro Harmonix? That's abit outta my price range but thanks!I shouldda mentioned a cheep, generic delay pedal would be fine...it's the last piece of the puzzle for my new (yet ancient and rumbling) solid state rig!
Guest galejt Posted December 22, 2005 Posted December 22, 2005 The DL4s do a killer DMM impression. I bought one to evaluate which delay to go after. The EHX DMM was the one. Since then I discovered (and purchased cheaply) an older Danelectro pedal I likes better.
hamerhead Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 These are off a local FS board. I'm in no way affiliated with any of them.************Posted: 12/23/2005H2O Liquid Chorus & Echo PedalVisual Sound H2O Liquid Chorus & Echo pedal. Perfect condition w/ box, only a few hours of use. geoff_hartwell Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Gale,Which danelectro did you like better than the DMM? Does it have modulation on the delays?Geoff
Guest galejt Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Gale,Which danelectro did you like better than the DMM? Does it have modulation on the delays?Geoff Dan-Echo. Simple. Enough for me. Don't know. I just plug it in and it goes, goes, goes....
hamerhead Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 The Dan-Echo sounds great for very little $$$.
Jeff R Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 The DanEcho pedals are a hit and miss IMHO. I had one that sounded great, the best delay pedal I'd ever heard. It died out of the blue about a year later, and I'm not a stomper abuser by any means. I replaced it with another, and the second one sounded, eh, not as good - much raspier and not as musical.I've since read that many folks have had reliability problems with them, mainly due to poor solder joints. I wish I had the "first" one back so I could check and fix any bad joints. As for the difference in sound between the two, my guess is that the factory in China buys guts/innard components supplies as cheap as they can when they re-stock parts, regardless as to if the manufacturer/specs are slightly different. Now that's just conjecture on my part, but there was light-year's difference in tone between the two that I had.
