gatorbyte007 Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Hey Guys. Im trying to find where Hamer sourced the #2 black flat head screws used for the rear control plates. I checked the obvious places like stew Mac. Any help would be awesome. Thanks Steve.
cynic Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 No idea where Hamer sourced them, but I've yet to walk into an Ace Hardware looking for small fasteners and not come out with exactly what I needed. I've found those screws at two different stores so I'd say they're a common-stock item.
gatorbyte007 Posted December 19, 2015 Author Posted December 19, 2015 Thanks I'll check it out. I'm looking to buy a large quantity.
kurtsstuff Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks..
tbonesullivan Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 I would have to agree here. They have always had everything I need. The hard part can be FINDING it all in those giant rows of boxes.
Steve Haynie Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 There are stores that specialize in nothing but nuts and bolts. If you can find one in your area they either have what you need or have a source for it.
murkat Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 same as gibson historic and early Hamer.http://www.guitarelectronics.com/product/SCHB3L-12/Guitar-Humbucker-Mounting-Ring-ScrewsLong-Black.html
ARM OF HAMER Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Locate your local Fastenal store. You would be surprised at what they have.............just in stock and what they don't have they can order. I can't tell you how many things I have found there for not just guitars but for all sorts of other things as well.
