Kleingeld Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 My B8S is lonely and would like a companion 4 string. I'd love to find a B4M. I know that's a tough find because there were only a handful made. A B4S would find a happy and welcoming home as well. All my basses get played, so life as a played and beloved instrument would go on. Thanks for looking.
donplob Posted March 8, 2018 Posted March 8, 2018 you and me both, brother. anyone with keys to Jack Blades' basement, let me know...
chromium Posted March 10, 2018 Posted March 10, 2018 They weren't easy to find, but worth the hunt! These have become some of my favorite basses...
HamStd Posted March 11, 2018 Posted March 11, 2018 KleinGeld, Drop me a line at [email protected]. I baby sit for Jack all the time, so I might be able to help you on the B4M front. Peter

mc2 Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 A couple of those B4S basses look real familiar 😀 I may have a couple more that I might let go. These two B4S basses were both custom ordered together and have SEQUENTIAL Serial Numbers...and played by the late Howie Epstein, bass player, most famously for Tom Petty's Heartbreakers. Epstein played bass on recordings by Eric Andersen, Bob Dylan,[4] Carlene Carter, Johnny Cash, John Hiatt, Stevie Nicks, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, John Prine, Linda Ronstadt, Del Shannon, The Textones, The Village People and Warren Zevon. He earned acclaim as a songwriter and a producer. Epstein produced two albums for John Prine, 1991’s The Missing Years, which won a Grammy Award[4] for Best Contemporary Folk Recording, and Lost Dogs and Mixed Blessings.[2] He also produced Eric Andersen’s Memory Of The Future (1998).
