I won't change my mind but you're first on the list when I decide to let her go back to the HFC

Hi All, thanks for the interest. The neck is twisted, beyond repair in my opinion. So then, just art. Really good Art.

It's takes a brave man to go this forum, of all places, and say he's got an American Hamer with a twisted neck.☹️

Clearly I am not as cool as some of you cats.  $900 on a guitar you can’t play?

Hi Dave, below is from part of the conversation I had with Steve "the sellar"... normally I would agree however, I'm a huge Judas Priest fan and in my eyes I consider this is a very cool, interesting & extremely rare piece of memorabilia... even with its neck issue, there's probably only less than a half a dozen of these, probably the only one painted by Jim O'Connor... so a custom-built Hamer once owned by KK Downing with Graphics from Jim O'Connor is a win-win for me... I ended up buying it as a Christmas present to myself & just so happen to have a perfect sized cabinet with a mirrored back that will be perfect for displaying it~

This is a Great Wall Hanger for sure. Great conversation piece. And Jim’s Art work is priceless.  If you ever want to pass it on. Just let me know where to send the Cash.   Enjoy your new Christmas gift!!!!

I still wouldn't rule out trying ti fix it.
I'm told wondrous results can be achieved with the use of a heat press.

Oddly enough, hand to God, I purchased a guitar from the East Coast shipped back to me in Arizona "also with a bad twisted neck then original Builder from the West Coast shipped me a new neck" and it's been about 4 years now and the original neck untwisted itself 🤐... still not perfect but close enough to plane and refret

I don't know... For @S1980 to say "The neck is twisted, beyond repair in my opinion," it must need more than a simple plane and refret.

Agreed, I was describing my other neck, & the scalloping on the KK would probably render it useless for that option anyways... but I will definitely check out viable neck straightening options such as the heat press/jig thingy~

But until that time comes, I will light a candle and kneel to the new altar of heavy metal 😆

Perhaps it was built for a tour and never made it to him.

Cuz the neck was twisted orrrrrrrrrrr perhaps he gave it to a roadie as a gift?.. or both

Was KK ever known to play a scalloped guitar?

Any case included?

Yes & yes 😉

That April 2, 2005 link to the "old" HFC reads like a time capsule. Look at all the names from the past!

Yes indeed, I noticed that as well... regardless if he actually owned it or not I still think it's a pretty cool piece worthy of display~

Interesting, I'm curious if he remembers this one...

I can ask about that, but I certainly can remember seeing him playing a white mini V which was equipped with just one humbucker instead of two. He also has/had a blue mini V. I didn't see that one during my visit at Astbury in 2015. The red one with studs was there.

Arrrrrgh... that's so incredibly cool!.. You're a very lucky man to not only have visited and checked out & actually hold his guitars but the have the whole experience captured on video for eternity! 😉
