Telecaster Series/Parallel with dpdt switch

Question

I have his project going and i'm down to the wiring. I'm going with the standard 3 way switch, two pickups, but want to do Series or Parallel in the middle position.

I found this diagram online, can anyone tell me if this correct or have a better diagram they could share?

Also, why do they run the wire from the volume to the middle ear on the tone control? I usually put my tone cap there and my wire from the V to the T on the outside pole.

I set my Tele's up all with 3 way, those positions are the ones I use all the time. Then I put in a mini switch for alternative "maybe i'll used that" options. @crunchee

You can always use a push/pull pot instead of the mini toggle switch

I am one that actually uses my volume and tone knobs. I want them to be in the exact place every time.

All good, everything is wired up.

I love that extra option on a Tele type..,I love cleanish rhythms in the middle chimey parallel position, then switch to the series position for the solo. Nice boost and thicker yet similar to the parallel tone.
