quik Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Hi all, I previously tried to score a flame maple Cali, but didn't manage to do it. I am now renewing my search, and making it a bit more down-to-earth, as I am foregoing the flame. I am looking for a USA Californian with ebony fretboard and boomerang inlays. I believe that makes it a Californian Elite, but I could be wrong. My preferred color is White, second choice is Black, but I'd be interested in many colors, graphics, trans finishes, etc. Please drop me a PM or email me at evh@usa.com if you have one or know of one that is for sale. I have the cash in hand and also have some nice (IMO) trades just in case. (I don't know what that icon means, but it looks cool to me - kinda like the bumblebee guy on The Simpsons.
anotherfreak2 Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 I might be letting this one go, let me know if you are interested
marcnorth Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Not mine but here's one.http://cgi.ebay.com/HAMER-USA-CALIFORNIAN-...1QQcmdZViewItem
quik Posted March 10, 2006 Author Posted March 10, 2006 Nice axe, but I have enough trouble trying to play one neck at a time! I am watching the ones on eBay as well. Thanks for the heads up!
holLoWskull Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Not mine but here's one.http://cgi.ebay.com/HAMER-USA-CALIFORNIAN-...1QQcmdZViewItemI'm selling that particular one so quik, if you or any HFC member have additional questions about the guitar or want more pix, feel free to e-mail through here or ebay, whichever is more convenient for you and I'll hook you up. I believe there's three other Cali Elites on ebay right now (2 of which that are black like you're looking for) and sound like they may be in better cosmetic shape than mine based on the descriptions. Mine is definitely been played and has the fretwear on frets 1-3 and cosmetic dings on the neck to prove it, so be aware of that if you're looking for a mint condition Cali. Still, it plays really well and looks pretty nice unless you're scrutinizing it up close for every ding, scrape, or blemish. Regardless of which one you choose, it looks like this is 'Cali Elite' week on ebay so you're chances of getting one are pretty good.
Hamer95USA Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 Hey quik, Take a look at this one. No E-bay involved and the guy want to move it. Here it is:http://www.hamerfanclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9071 Guitar George

DEMENTED Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 i'm not bonding w/ the cali standard i just got from travis, email me if interested. Brooks, I am, email me!
Travis Posted March 10, 2006 Posted March 10, 2006 i'm not bonding w/ the cali standard i just got from travis, email me if interested. Aw man, I'm sorry to hear that. It really is a great guitar. If it had bigger frets, I likely would have kept it.
quik Posted March 10, 2006 Author Posted March 10, 2006 Thanks for the replies, everyone. If/when I get one, I'll be sure to post pics! Hollowskull, yours looks cool and will sell I'm sure (love the reverse headstock), but it's not exactly what I'm looking for (binding, thicker neck per description, etc.). Guitar George & Greg C, thanks for the tips. I'll follow up on those. Brooks, I love the yellow, but I gotta have ebony & boomers. I know what you mean about not bonding, though. I've had that happen with a couple of really nice guitars, and I didn't know why, but I just had to let 'em go. Weird how that works sometimes. The search continues!
