spanky Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 Trying these here with what I hope is HC acceptable pricing, before I put them back on Reverb. I am based in Canada, prices are in USD, and prices are inclusive of shipping and paypal fees. If for some reason there are duties/taxes on the other end it would be the buyers responsibility. Feel free to ask for specific photos etc... . I've bought on the board but not sold. My Reverb and Ebay ratings are A+. 1. Hamer Mirage 1 with thick Koa top. Original case with trem bar except for the P90 pickups which were professionally installed by BCR guitars. They were all Seymour Duncan P90's but the previous owner may have changed the bridge pickup to a Manlius Goats Growl. I have not pulled them out to check. The guitar has been owned by at least two members here. The guitar will be shipped detuned, in original case, and well boxed. It is in VG shape, it could use new strings. The last photo is from a previous link on this site. SOLD Price: now $1,100 USD, includes shipping to continental North America and pp fees.
spanky Posted March 28, 2021 Author Posted March 28, 2021 2. G&L Legacy USA. Really nice shape. Vintage tint neck. From G&L: The production date on your 2 tone sunburst Legacy is June 19, 2008, It has a tinted gloss maple neck , the specs are 1-5/8 nut with and a 12” radius, crème pick guard, crème pickup covers and crème knobs, the body wood is swamp ash. The guitar will be shipped detuned, in case, and well boxed. The trem arm is missing but can be easily purchased direct from G&L. Price: now $950 USD, includes shipping to continental North America and pp fees.
spanky Posted March 28, 2021 Author Posted March 28, 2021 3. Westerly, Rhode Island made Guild JF-30 with nicely flamed neck, made in Westerly, RI. It has the factory Fishman electronics and OHSC. There is a bit of light crazing on the back finish, but I could not pick it up in the pictures. Also a few small dents and finish chipping. All fairly small. Going by the serial number it looks to be a 1997 vintage. The guitar will be shipped detuned, in OHS case, and well boxed. The guitar will need new strings, and I recommend that it be set up to your preferences Price: now $1,300 USD, includes shipping to continental North America and pp fees.

Just curious, I’m no G&L expert — I don’t see a skunk stripe on the back of the neck for the truss rod installation, so does the neck have a separate maple fingerboard? Thanks

Thanks Yes, which to me is preferable to the skunk stripe.

Thanks A 2008 G&L all maple neck is one piece that's how they're doing the necks now. The fingerboard is a separate piece only when it's rosewood, ebony or birdseye maple.

I had two '08s, an S500 and a Legacy, they both had maple necks with glued on maple boards.

It's maple/maple and that's the thinnest board I've ever seen. Almost needed a magnifying glass to see. Strange, my other G&L fingerboards are several times as thick.

Dang, I’ll have to take your word on this as I cannot see this fingerboard ‘laminant’ on my iPad! I’d like to find a Daytona with a rosewood fingerboard at some point but, great as they are, always wished that Hamer would’ve NOT used the skunk stripe on those necks.

spanky Posted June 16, 2021 Author Posted June 16, 2021 Hi forum folks - I have sold the Mirage to another forum member. A previous forum owner of the same guitar did some wiring changes different than what BCR Greg did. I can't find the email where they explained it, nor can I remember who it was. If that person is you, and you read this, please share again
