Different output jack !

Tryin' to take some pics for another thread and noticed one of my Studio's has a Tele cup style output jack. The others all have barrel type flush mount jacks. The Studio in question is a 2008 model. Was this a replacement jack or original, if original, does anyone know what year they started using them ?

I think it's a replacement, I replace my worn out barrel jacks with them and a high quality jack

Just received a Tally Pro from @Piemantoday. Guess What, it has a Tele cup style  output jack .....and it's also a 2008 model !  I'm thinking mine is an original part now.   I wonder if that's the year Hamer started using them. Gonna back track on pics of some older models to see if I spot any.  Anyone out there with a 2008 model anything with a Tele style output jack ???

My 2006 Monaco Bass came with a nickel Electrosocket output jack mount. My T51, Newport and Superpro have football plates. All my other Hamers have the typical barrel jacks.

I use the bottom electrosockets.

That's the one, on the bottom, the Electrosocket !   Sorry if I gave the wrong description !

I know people have modded their Hamer's using Elctrosockets (myself included) but I don't remember if any left CT that way, I'm certain someone here knows though.

I had a 2005 korina special and a 2008 Newport Pro that both had factory-installed Electrosocket jacks.

I've found that if you use right-angle plugs at the gtr end of your cable, it can help to adjust the barrel part of the jack to be a little proud of the bottom of the cup.  When the barrel is flush with the bottom of the cup it can cause RA plugs to not seat deeply enough and your signal can cut out at a critical moment.

Found a few pics with the Electrosocket on some Hamers, so it seems like they were used sometime after the move to Connecticut. That being said, I'm satisfied now knowing that mine was not an aftermarket install. Thanks  guys for your input.

Yeah, I've got an '05 Studio Custom with barrel jack.  Seems like both types of jacks were used in '05.  Maybe aesthetic  appeal for certain models, who knows !

They switched over at some point in 2005.  My late 2004 B-4M has the SWITCHCRAFT,  the Monaco III I got in mid-2005 has the Electrosocket.
