PSA: 2007 Korina Artist, $17.5 hunnert ($1750) @ Carter Vintage

Obviously the Hamers are not Carter’s cup o’ kava, as they have it listed as a 1997 Special.

That's a nice Artist. Priced pretty well too. I tried to buy a newport from carters a couple years ago, dot neck nothing special, they would not move from there $3500.00 pricepoint. But they had no problem lowballing my Gibson custom shop 390 in trade. I actually blurted out "what" when they made their offer. I quickly exited in a state of shock....

I think I remember that Newport listing for $3500-.  Clearly they’re still out of touch RE the brand, though someone may get a decent deal on this Artist.
As far as pickups, were the 2x humbucker Hamers still getting a Duncan JB and ‘59 PAF at this point?

My old Artist Korina had a pair of 59’s in it when I got it. I believe those were always the stock pickups for that particular variant of the Artist.

That seems to be the case for Butcher's as well. What, pray tell, did you replace them with?

When I had it, I installed a pair of the Duncan “ultimates” I found that a guy had taken out of his Artist Ultimate in favor of a set of EMG Anniversary pickups….

I, too have tried dealing with Carter’s and had the same outcome; their stuff is overpriced and they offer less than GC on your trade-in. I didn’t have unrealistic expectations, I know the market well.
