BCR Greg Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Just walked(flew!) in the door. 1985, ding-free(including the tip of the body horn!), from the original owner.... Serial number RR1313. Cool number, huh? Damn near new, this one....
LordOfTheThighs Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 How much for the truck tires?HA! Really nice looking Jackson. USA model, I presume? (I'm notup on Jackson models that well). What'cha looking to get out of it?
BCR Greg Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 It's a USA, Custom ordered by the original owner.$1850 takes it in the gorgeous case.
tomteriffic Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Most Esteemed Redhead likes RR's. I'll have to show her that one.Let me guess, the truck ran over your cellar door?
FrankieII Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Sweet. I just picked up an '85 San Dimas Soloist that also has a Kahler. If yours had strings-thru, I'd be all over it.
MCChris Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Most Esteemed Redhead likes RR's. I'll have to show her that one.Let me guess, the truck ran over your cellar door? Nah, Greg obtained the guitar by having sex with the seller at a truck stop.
LordOfTheThighs Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Nah, Greg obtained the guitar by having sex with the seller at a truck stop. Now that right there is some funny stuff.
Nuclear Wessel Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 That one is from the day when if it said Jackson on the headstock, ya didn't have to ask if it was made in USA. Really nice. I remember lusting after Jacksons like that in the mail order gear catalogs back in '85.
cmatthes Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 For what it's worth (from me, as usual, not much!) - I have NEVER seen a used RR Vee WITHOUT chipping on at least one of the horns. Many I've come across from that era also had big studdy scratch n' dents all over the back and the back of the neck too...That one was right outta the peak hair metal era years too!
MCChris Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 For what it's worth (from me, as usual, not much!) - I have NEVER seen a used RR Vee WITHOUT chipping on at least one of the horns. Well this one has tire stains on 'em now.
MCChris Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Yeah, it's ruined. Well at least you didn't lay this one down on the bare concrete, dingin' the back up 'n' shit in the process.
Mr Fuzzy Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Very Nice! That is a good serial number. Does it come with double the bad luck, because otherwise you'd have no luck at all?
BCR Greg Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 Yeah, it's ruined. Well at least you didn't lay this one down on the bare concrete, dingin' the back up 'n' shit in the process. That's what I do to you, fella.
MCChris Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Yeah, it's ruined. Well at least you didn't lay this one down on the bare concrete, dingin' the back up 'n' shit in the process. That's what I do to you, fella. LOL! THAT'S what I like to see!
BCR Greg Posted March 26, 2006 Author Posted March 26, 2006 Only for Chris. I pretend he's Tyra.By the way, I put a proper black locking clamp on behind the nut, and took the replacement Gold one off.Dayne and I spent a long time last night playing every Ozzy riff we could remember on this bad boy. It kills.
black magic Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 As do all Jacksons bro!! Someone buy this nice peice of early Jackson history. Jack.
