Hi everyone. I am not sure if this response will post as I cannot seem to reset my password. I have been away for over a year or more due to my wife undergoing a health crisis. As for the Facebook listing, I do not use social media  and had a friend list it for me on the marketplace. 

I posted the Reverb listing and I intentionally set it higher than I ever thought it would bring to screen out all of the ridiculous low ball offers that inevitably come by drunken tire kickers making absurd offers. 

 

Cmatthes has always been a courteous and informative member but he is incorrect about a couple of things regarding this guitar. 

The headstock face and logo are original. Never restored the logo or the original paint. You can see some slight inconsistencies on the edge of the face of the headstock where the new finish on the neck meets the original face of the headstock. The guitar  plays like a dream hut I believe it could use jumbo frets. At least  for my tastes. A lot is made over the price that I paid for it in 2019 which was 5600 dollars. Considering the " reworked" aspect I guess it was a lot back then but it is absolutely the most beautiful Hamer I have ever seen as far as a top and tobacco finish  is concerned. I prefer not to sell it and I have it priced  not to sell to be honest.  Jol sent me an email about this one and said that originally  it was not kahlered and was a transparent blue finish. He said that it had been modified and repainted a hideous green/yellow burst and had the Kahler installed probably sometime in the early to mid 1980's. So considering that it had been refinished and " molested" before the retop job in 2011 I consider it unmolested now. No, the purests will balk at it because of the work but as I said it is absolutely beautiful and truly hope I dont have to sell it.
