WorstBandName Posted April 10, 2024 Posted April 10, 2024 https://www.sweetwater.com/used/listings/166613-used-hamer-studio-ltd-earthen-maple-25 Not mine. Listed at $7500 - I think this one has sold a few times in the past 5 years now for somewhere between 2500-4000? I know I recognize the particular streaking on this one.
Nan0brain Posted April 10, 2024 Posted April 10, 2024 A $4K offer didn't meet the reserve price... Helluva guitar though!
crunchee Posted April 10, 2024 Posted April 10, 2024 COA doesn't say anything about white Limba or Brazilian rosewood. Shouldn't that be documented on the COA?
tbonesullivan Posted April 10, 2024 Posted April 10, 2024 Honestly those guitars are on par or better with the top private stock PRS guitars. I've noticed Hamer guitars are definitely bringing in a lot more $$$ than they used to. Now if only G&L guitars held their value better.

No, the COA states the model and special changes (like for instance bound neck or extra inlays if that is not regular on that model). The white limba (= korina) and the Brazilian rosewood fretboard are regular on the EM Studio, therefore it does not have to be specified. Gabe 😀
The Shark Posted April 11, 2024 Posted April 11, 2024 How much for just one? Hoping to aggravate just one or two HFC'ers!
veatch Posted April 13, 2024 Posted April 13, 2024 Heh. That one was mine back in the day (I was the original owner) It was (and I'm sure still is) a great guitar. I played a couple of other EM Studios, and this one seemed to have more "beef" to it, sound-wise. I wouldn't mind getting it back, but not at that price. GTWTS

GTWTS Being a friend to all guitars definitely doesn't necessarily mean befriending price tags.
