Blackmore sitting in with Purple tonight.
Jakeboy replied to Disturber's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
He cannot play his Smoke solo anymore….as a huge DP fan of the Ritchie era, this saddens me. Ian Gillian din’t sound good either and he got lost in the song at one point. Glad they buried the hatchet on a personal level, but the performance was hard to watch. I’ll listen to Made in Japan or Perfect Strangers tonight..,and all will be well. -
Lynyrd Skynyrd in a box? Mace preamp.
Jakeboy replied to Saul Goodman's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
Yup early Skynyrd was plexis and Ed would use a Twin to carve out different sonic space from Allen & Gary with his Strat. Live they were hardcore Peavey guys. Gary honestly loved them. -
So, Warm Audio had a promotion where you pay a certain amount and they just ship you whatever they want from their current stock. A guy that's been involved with business consulting for decades, I decided to give it a go. The "carrot" was them sending you various "prizes" of various values including one winner that would get one of each pedal they make. No such luck. And I have an original Zen and another copy from Lovepedal. So, this one is for sale. These sell for more almost everywhere. "Open box" WarmDrives from Sweetwater are $122. I need $100 shipped to the lower 48. Never played. New in the box. Did I mention they are really good clones? Thanks.

Guitars don't get lonely, when they don't get played. Contrary to popular belief! 😇 - Today

W-effin'-OOF! I tried so hard to love my Axis. It was perfect in every way, but that small neck profile just wasn't happening. One of these days I would like to find a nice Albert Lee hardtail. There was a trem version at Real Guitars last year that checked all the boxes, except...

I had a choice of three, same model, same color, and I still think this is the best top ever made. I'm much more into "irregular" tops than the tight flamed ones. One of these days I need to get better pictures of the other figured top guitars I own, which really aren't many. - Yesterday

Nah. More like Tito. I allow some freedoms (mostly in the arts), but the iron fist will be implemented when necessary. -

No pass here. I’ve cut audio feeds of CEOs who tried that bullshit. Lavalier mics are designed to be clipped on to clothing, 4-6”, from the neck. Sign of an amateur. -

Glad you did what you needed to do, but I have to say, I am not up on the price of these basses these days since I have one, but as they say about real estate. They aren't making anymore. As a middle school science teacher I also know that is not true about real estate. But I also know that where it is being made is not always where it is wanted. ramble ramble ramble. Ha! Those are very good basses! -

I prefer Mule to JB because Mule is more of a band, whereas everyone on stage with JB is there to back him up. JB's keyboard player was very good, mind you, and he got a lot of solos, but at the end of the day it's JB's show. Whereas Mule sounds like more of a cohesive band. Here's each performers' set list from that night (sadly, Ron Holloway's solo was off by half a step, he's in pretty bad shape physically): Mule: Hammer and Nails (Staple Singers cover) Rocking Horse Wake Up Dead Banks of the Deep End Game Face > Mountain Jam > Game Face I Asked for Water (She Gave Me Gasoline) (Howlin' Wolf cover, with Whip It tease) Painted Silver Light (with Josh Smith on guitar) Revolution Come, Revolution Go Key to the Highway (Charles Segar cover, with Joe Bonamassa on guitar) Soulshine (The Allman Brothers Band cover, with Ron Holloway on sax) Bonamassa: Breakthrough Trigger Finger Twenty‐Four Hour Blues (Bobby “Blue” Bland cover) Mainline Florida (Eric Clapton cover) I Fall Apart (Rory Gallagher cover) Drive by the Exit Sign If Heartaches Were Nickels (with Warren Haynes) Last Kiss Well, Well (Delaney & Bonnie cover) Stratus (Billy Cobham cover, with Warren Haynes) A Million Miles Away (Rory Gallagher cover)

I've decided that it's finally time to downsize. Starting with my Les Paul Custom. It's in excellent condition, all original, fully functional and unmolested. Everything it shipped with from the factory is included. I added Dunlop strap butttons and Faber locking bridge posts (original parts are included). Weight: 8.5 lbs, which is unusually light for one of these if that's appealing to you. Not weight relieved. Nice thick '57 profile neck: 0.95" @ 1st fret, 1.06" at 12th. The only funkiness is a few very small indentations in the clear coat behind the bridge. Possibly from a braclet or watch, but there are no scratches, just pinprick sized dents. Difficult to get a clear photo, but I'll try if this is a concern. Recently sold prices on Reverb range from $4,200 - over $5,000. I'd like to avoid the fees and scam risk associated with Reverb, so I'm asking $3,700 plus $150 shipping. Add 3% for PayPal (or $0 for F&F)
