FS: Hamer Vector 81 "flamey"

It's with some hesitation that I put this guitar for sale here. It's an 81 Vector, everything is original, including the old DiMarzio pups. No structural repairs.

I got this one from Roli several years ago and used it for just a couple of gigs. It shows a lot of mileage, but it's in very good condition for a guitar this old. It's of course dinged, with Hameritis over the edge of the fretboard and some small chips. However, it's NOT a beater, just a player --a GREAT one, I must say. There are a couple of details you must know though:

1- There is a nasty scratch behind the neck (please see the pictures below). I got it like that from the seller. It looks like someone scratched part of the paint with a knife or something. It does go down to the wood, but no major damage is done.

2- The body is thinner than what I've seen on other Vectors. Roli didn't even notice it, but I did. My theory is that the back of the body was also scratched, probably more than the neck, and someone thinned it down, sanded and refinished. If that was the case, they did a great job.

Besides those two issues, everything else is almost perfect about it. It is a tone monster (sounds amazing through a TS9 into a Peavey Classic 50). The maple top is thin and looks great.

If I had kept it, I would have refinished the back of the neck, plus added a thin slab of maple or mahogany to the back of the body. That would be just KILLER --I wanted to do that, but I finally decided to sell it.

The hardcase is included. It is in an acceptable condition. It has some marks of road abuse and one of the supports of the handle was replaced by a screw, but otherwise all the latches work and it's very clean inside.

I'm asking 599 bucks, shipped and paypaled to Canada & the US. You bet this IS a very good deal!

Now have a look to the pictures below: B)

The "I love skating" sticker on the backplate can be easily removed, naturally. :P

Please, PM me if you have any question.

I have a suggestion.

Don't sell it.

You are not the first in suggesting me so, but I need some money now to buy something else, and anyway I have too many guitars and have no time to play them all.

This AM I dropped some coin on an macbook pro.

Mama wanted a new computer. Glad that I didn't see this post before hand or Mama would have gotten a Vector instead. : )

The neck on this one is medium, very comfy. Definitively NOT thick, though I wouldn't call it "skinny" either. The width goes from 1.6" at the first fret to 2.1" at the 19th.

mira! La sangre de la patria que ustedes comparten no vale nada. Solamente el dinero le merece la attencion. Capitalista! Sin verguenza!

right guitar, right price, wrong headstock...

You get used to that, I guarantee you. B)

Must have been tough call for you to decide to sell this one Zorrow. A great deal for someone looking for a "player", although that vintage is probably worth a little work, methinks. Good luck with the sale (can't believe it hasn't gone already!).

I'm just trying to reduce my stock to just what I need. I really have too many guitars, and sadly it's always the same couple which gets played --this one doesn't get played often, even if it's a great player.

Well, I guess we are with guitars like we are with women at the end: you like them all, but there's always one or two who are the ones you always come back to. B)

Still available --it's January 9th, so I guess it's time for a bump. B)

Please PM me if you are interested or have any question.

Price lowered now to 599 bucks, shipped and paypaled to Canada & the US.

Now, please, no more indecent proposals, ok?

FYI, this guitar does sound, look and play great. All the flaws are fixable, and again, it has no structural damage and everything on it is original --pups, Schaller tuners, sustainblock, etc.

If you want it, I'm even open to receive several payments --we can discuss about it.

What??? B)

I cannot believe this has not been yet sold!!!

Is a gorgeous guitar, love the burst. :)
