What a great thread. And I think I have missed it..??!! Hanoi Rocks - They should have been huge. The greatest glam band of the 80's. A - Killer band with a stupid name. Try to google or Youtube search the letter "A". A mix of The Police and Bloodhound gang. Weird, yeah. But it works. Rocket from the Crypt - I love the Hives, but this band was one of their inspirations, and they are even better. Should have been as big as The Hives. Young Heart Attack - Killer debut album. Party on the rocks, all the way. AC/DC meets Pat Benattar, then they take party drugs.

So if someone had that T130 SCMI shaper and those fixtures in the background they could produce a .....nevermind.

Another band that should have been HUGE. http://www.allmusic.com/artist/the-blessing-mn0000050496/biography The Blessing. Did two albums on Mercury. Prince of the Deep Waters and Locusts and wild honey. This was their biggest hit: William Topley the lead singer has done lots of solo albums since the band broke up that are in the same style. I got all of them. Just great music.

I think he's a better player than both those guys. Hasn't written as many monumental songs as them, but as a player, better.

Well, Slash is no Vai, but he is pretty good...and if you would like to judge a man by his guitars, he's got the biggest 1950's collection of Les Paul. A man with those tastes cannot be a bad man I despised Axl, but Slash, i've always liked

"Must Be Destroyed" is a classic. Steer clear of Riff After Riff though. With the right producer, they would stand a much better chance of making a bigger splash...

Yeah man! Dan Baird is amazing. I saw them at Iota in Arlington, VA. You could tell just from watching them that TA was a crazy dude. I highly reccomend their album "Fear Not The Obvious" to any fan of foot stomping Tele rawk with well written songs. Bottle And A Bible? Fuckin' A!

MC5 - The god fathers of American metal in my opinion Johnny Thunders and the HeartBreakers of course Destory ll Monsters from Detroit...Ashtons on guitars and the incredible Niagra on vocals Nico - I was in love with her for years, cool video biography on TV a while ago Rocket from the Thombs - broke-up into Pere Ubu/Deadboys..Peter Laugher/Chettah Chrome guitars were awesome Pere Ubu - songs like a bad hangover Ramones - never sold any records really Pagans - best cleveland punk band ever! Carmen - think early 70's flamingo styles hardrock...great stage show with cool dancers. Black Death - wow early 80's heavy heavy metal from some black guys that kicked ass...84 studio album is being released. Siki Spacek rules! Dicators - guess they weren' the "Next Big Thing"
