  1. Cool pics. Thanks! Could someone have a word with Robin about his recent fashion choices, though? Looks like an ancient leather daddy who spends his free time at the circus. Which for all I know, he is.

  2. May I suggest a simple NAMM display for Hamer that Fender might consider for its booth? How about a real coffin, lid open, with a killer Hamer in it (actually Neilsen's "Uncle Dick" would be perfect for this)....with a set of vampire fangs on the headstock, with a sign that simply says "Undead." A play on all the vampire craze. ......and Fender does a lottery promotion of "anything goes" Hamer Custom Order tickets to be won over 2014 (ONE build per month.) People can buy lottery tickets for some $$ amount and Fender can donate the proceeds to some cause, as it picks the winners who can place a custom build order. Cool promo...and it would keep the Hamer brand alive in a minimal way and keep a buzz going. I think it could be a cool way to gauge market demand and keep the brand alive, yet on a back burner in a cool way. Maybe even number them "Undead 1 thru 12."

  5. Ta'dah! I did just that last night, deoxit in all three pots, two switches(bright & pent/triode) and did a thorough clean of the tube sockets and it's purring like a kitten. A really loud grumpy pissed-off kitten I had forgotten how this amp rips! and it makes a fantastic Jazz amp, gets a killer Grant Green/Kenny Burrell Vibe.

  6. I might sell more gear than buy in 2014. There are no plans for guitars though. My Brain sucks. No ideas for another Bo Diddley.

  7. I would need to dismantle a cool partscaster to make room..... Early Phantom A5.....I turned down a GREAT deal on the off-white one that Brent bought and returned. I am still kicking myself for not buying that one. It was minty and perfect. Standard or Gibson Explorer......I started out on a '76 reissue and have always wanted another. I should have bought serial's Greco body for a refin. An old Sunburst. I didn't buy a guitar in 2013. I am really happy with what I currently own and play nearly all of them....except for the partscaster. I am set on amps. I have a great collection there. Mark I

  9. If you're going to consider something that ugly, you may as well go for a Jon Kammerer a save a few grand.

  10. I think I'd like something made of korina for a change. I'd also like a standard, but I'm not sure which model. Of course, scratching both those itches in one guitar might stretch my budget a bit.
