  1. Russ was an essential part of the band, Fight. Few kicked ass like that in the 90’s…
  2. These charts make me wonder what is driving the sales of guitar, bass and drums? Is it modern country/western? One would think aspiring young musicians would be bypassing traditional instruments in favor of music tech.
  3. Schaller Spring-Claw. I chose this over a standard claw for the stability factor. I’m using an NFT Floyd (decked) and figured the SC would remove the “wobble-factor” (of a standard, 2-screw claw) in my favor. I hope to set up the system to where I won’t miss the fine tuners.
  4. 80% of parts have arrived. Getting closer...
  5. Boss units work better when all phone WiFis are disabled (routers, too, if possible). I use the WL50 at home. It works fine, but I don’t think I’d gig with it. It’s temping to purchase one of the myriad, low-rent wireless systems out there. They usually work but most almost always break. Cheaping-out on w/l will bone you in the long run. Better to spend the bux for a quality system. The GLXD16 gets my best-bang vote.
  6. I know an Evel Knievel-finish has been suggested for that before, but it would look pretty dope.
  7. We shall see. Super-light alder w/Floyd woodscrew posts. I was shocked when I unboxed it. Neck specs are like an asymmetrical LP carve. R2 nut, too, so not your traditional Charvel repro. Got a SpringClaw, tuners, stringbar and 12”R, R2 nut shipping from Schaller.
  8. Here’s a better color shot (pic courtesy of DaveL):
  9. It’s an even gayer, reliced Sonic Blue. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
  10. I’ll have to measure. Stand by…
  11. Give me shred til I’m dead…
  12. Looks a bit fuzzy around the edges, so my guess is, “no.”
  13. Smokin deal, thanks for posting this. I almost bit, but I’m avoiding modelers w/software. Saving for a Simplifier, instead.
  14. The JB is such an iconic (and much copied) pickup. They don't work in every guitar, but sometimes you luck upon the magic combo. My Rhoads has the ubiquitous, JB/Jazz combo, and sounds hellacious. They key to the JB, IME, is to find the, "fine line between clever and stupid." Too close to the strings and it can be too loud/harsh. Too low and it ouputs too airy. I find a medium height and polepieces adjusted like Fender SCs works for my purposes.
  15. That’s, “blind, silly goose”, to you, pally!
  16. Fair enough. Nuance is difficult (for me, anyway) in posting online, and I meant no harm. I know your'e a good dude, Ionel, but posting, "sale previews", is generally discouraged on the HFC. Really, I should leave the policing to the mods and mind my own nevermind...
  17. Either sell them, or don't. Posting this tease is not SOP. What I think about selling these guitars doesn't matter one bit. You're the one who lives with the consequences. Post prices, or delete the post.
  18. Church, brodie. Dip yer toe in! Shipping is FREE, f'goshsakes!
  19. Thanks, Jake. Serves my home needs well. Once I rewire the, “jam space board”, it will contain, thusly; VoidooLabs Dingbat small board Pedal Power 2Plus Budda Bud-wha Dingus box Peterson mini tuner SoloDallas Storm MXR Univibe Boss DD-8 LP JTM Eleven Axess Buffer (mounted underneath) I love the Boss DD series. I have two Analogman versions, but the DD-8 has all those features and more. The, “trails”, function makes transitioning from lead boost to normal sound very full. I’ll post pics of this simple, yet effective, board shortly.
