  1. Redwitch phaser FTW. Lots of sounds in that one. What do those dual-eared, Mooer pedals do?
  2. Well, off the top of my head. “Duotone”, is a much cooler model name. That’s all I got…
  3. The X looks like something l may investigate. No IRs is a big selling point. No software/firmware updates, either, and pedal-friendly.
  4. No doubt. I imagine if the buyer ponies up $141k he should be able to afford a round-trip flight to the UK to pick it up in person?
  5. Yes! Two great 80's heavy metal records. Twisted was unfairly maligned due to their deliberately OTT image, but they delivered the goods. I saw them only once, a free show at the Santa Monica Civic. They were shooting a live show for MTV and had to do multiple takes of some songs. They still brought it, every song. And speaking of bringing it...This track on Reading Rock '82 is what turned me on to Twisted. Dee, one of the best frontmen EVER:
  6. Wasn't he neighbors with George Harrison (Friar Park), too?
  7. Eff-YEAH! Unfairly overlooked 70s rock classic. You didn’t need weed to enjoy this ripping album, just to ENHANCE it. Kraut Rock with elements of Zep, Sabbath and Mountain. I love playing, “Lonesome Crow”, for latter-day Scorps fans, just to watch their reactions.
  8. So, that’s how it works? Ted throttles the site and that generates donations? Very tricky, indeed!
  9. Anybody getting this on their phones? A minor annoyance, actually. Site usually comes back after a coupla refreshes.
  10. Looks like a quality, affordable belt-drive turntable. This (or any Project TT in the entry-mid pricepoint) would make a great starter deck for anyone getting into vinyl. Project makes great products, and know how to reduce unwanted resonance in their TTs. Alas, I am a direct-drive kinda guy happy with my 20lb Kenwood from the 70s.
  11. This. Sounds like the neck has contracted with the cold. It’s not a big deal. Check the relief and adjust the truss rod if needed.
  12. After the, “Lovedrive”, tour (ca. 1980), Klaus was diagnosed with nodes on his vocal cords. After surgery, his options were quitting or learning to properly sing. He was assigned an opera coach and spent the good part of the year relearning his instrument. Y’know, I was just spinning, “Blackout”, today and, yikes, that dude could effing BRING IT. He still had it in (appx) 2000 at the SF Cow Palace, “Moment of Glory”, show I teched. “Still Loving You”, and, “Holiday”, with a symphony orchestra? Bitch, pleeease!
  13. Waters' redo of, "DSOTM", should qualify him for permanent banishment to Elba island.
  14. Gibson’s answer to another question that was never asked. The dual pickguards make it look too busy and awkward. I like the back contours, though.
  15. RIP This one hits hard. One of the great rock four stringers. Always solid and supporting the songs.
  16. Yep. I like the ones I’ve kept (Purple Plexi+ Boost. FTW!), but I’m pretty much done.
  17. Congrats on the new Artist! With your history of brand loyalty, I’m sure it’ll be a keeper. Quick tip: If the guitar exhibits neck-dive (Grovers), try Gotoh tuners. They make ones that retro-fit and are much lighter than the stock pegs. Worked for my korina Artist, anyway.
  18. I gotta give it to Sean. He is a savvy marketer and master of FOMO. I can’t imagine this sounding that much different than my DD. Maybe it does? I’m keen to hear a comparison.
  19. Looks 80s. Good deal if shipping/tarrifs can be avoided.
  20. I wouldn’t know. I’m only familiar with set-necks from that era.
  21. A hardtail, to boot. I’d almost consider this one.
  22. Sure, bubs. I’ll get right on that…for me to POOP on!
  23. I took offense to this. You may not… Discuss.
  24. Totally agree. Awesome band! I discovered them from UFO doing a cover (same with Cheap Trick/Terry Reid…). LA bands had it all over that hippie slop in SF in the 60s.
