'Help us out, more distortion! Help us out, more distortion!' was the best part.

Great stickers, belikerick; are they scratch and sniff?

Excellent! All you need now is a cappucino machine.

Earl Slick was the first player of note to have a red fretboard, IIRC. Fernandes has a few out now as well, one that is a signature model of a Japanese player, featuring a black cat 12th fret inlay. Many high end makers won't use such highly figured neck wood, as it has been deemed too unstable.

This is supposed to help hurricane victims?

What none of you realise, is that the Les Paul is only the first of the line. The next one is a Super 400 CES, with a top that looks like shingles. Instead of f holes, it has many erratically shaped holes covered with small pieces of blue tarp. When you pull back the tarp, there will be playmoblie branded action figues inside as a joint venture in relief aid. The real shame of this is that the action figures will be holding little green bottles and are called Heine-kids, to commemorate the now world famous looter. -
The import custom order sounds sexy, but I would go fot nickel hardware. Excellent choice of p-ups, BTW!

Best thing you've gotten from an HFCer

Tombo and his wife took me to the hospital on New Years Eve one year when I was extremely ill. They dropped off the kids at the in-laws, found a hospital that would take me, (in Japan, most hospitals are on skeleton crews and closed downstairs on NYE), then stayed with me until all 3 IV's were in me. They left at 11:50pm, as I was falling asleep. Tombo returned to make a translation sheet for the nurses and myself, as it was all medical Japanese and my Japanese was pretty lousy at the time. He came by every few days and the family even bought me hospital clothes, as I never wear pajamas. I met Tombo one day by chance at a guitar shop in town a few years ago. We have been laughing and constantly bickering for a few years now. He is a good egg. -
For sure! I always pick up chicks with my buddies and then swap when we are done.

Thread jack-Whatever happened to the 4 digit, that AdmiralB passed on that had the $700-ish BIN way back when? -
My condolences to you and your family. I empathise, having lost many on my mother's side the same way.

Crystal meth makes me feel like some one is always watching me when I play. I have crazy fans: They are peeping at me through heating ducts, hiding amongst the flora in my back yard and they are *always* talking about me. Can heroin claim this? Nooooooooooo, me thinks not.

Thank Rob, my brain is always on 'standby.' Take it easy on Salem. He is obviously dealing with 'down' syndrome. Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.

Examples of Crappy Distorted Guitar Tone
El Kabong replied to killertone's topic in Hamer Fan Club Messageboard
'American Woman', 'Magic Carpet Ride' and 'Saint Elmo's Fire' are my top 3 in songs to exfoliate excessive butt hair with. -
I want my 'hair when' I'm 50 so I still look pretty.

Great news!

You might be sorry if you order an Allen. My friend ordered an Accomplice 2 years ago. It's one of the worst amps I have heard in my life. All the fit and finish visually is top notch. But it it sounds like a Roland Bolt 60 with tin foil covering the driver. If you want black face sound, the smart money is on a Fargen Blackbird.
-
LOL, you have to be trolling. I thought you ordered a Clark? Tweed vs. black face? Bah! What about the brown circuits? Did the white tolexed ones actually have smoother tone? What about black face vs. silver face? Wide panel vs. narrow panel tweed? Jensens, Oxford's or Utahs? Did transition era Fender amps sound any different, or was it just the white knobs? Tony Bruno does tweed and blackface. They aren't cheap. Some swear by them and others say that they are no different than their old amp that they have had for 30 odd years. Should it sound the same as an original, or have cork sniffin' adjectives? http://www.brunoamps.com/amplist.htm It doesn't matter which one you chose in the end. You will still sound like yourself, be it good or bad. After about a month, it will just be your amp and you will wonder what all the fuss was about.

I still spin Saturday Night Fever and I believe the best white soul album of all time is Tom Jones 'Live in Las Vegas.' recorded at the Flamingo in '69. I love disco and house music. I also love old school Rap-Fat Boys, Kurtis Blow, etc.

I was bad touching myself while looking at the photos and added reply twice at the point of no return. Happy?

That is *the* coolest Hamer I have seen in my whole life. Those pix are far better than any issue of 'Barely Legal.'
