  1. Number three for Nocturne endorsee Kevin Dillard. Mahogany body with quilted maple top and fake ala PRS binding. The neck is 3pc figured maple with a cocobolo board that's scallopped from the 12th to the 27th. Pickups, as usual, are Dimarzio with the Chopper once again taking care of the neck duties and with an AT100 adding a new flavour to the bridge. All these go through a Dimarzio 5 way superswitch giving a variation of, well i forget at this precise moment but simular but not the same as the PRS rotary. I'd like to thank Steve B at Dimarzio with his help once again in attaining such an incredible variation of usable tones. Hardware is from Gotoh, their 1996 floyd coupled with their ever sexy 510 tuners. I now remember (looking at the diagram !) Bridge Inside coils parallel Neck + bridge Neck parallel Neck
  2. MV and Norton didn't know what hit 'em !
  3. Very very few US Vector's with binding, in fact i can't remember seeing one although they must exist
  4. By “this kind of money,” Dantzig means $38,000 for the Crow package, which includes a hand-bound journal containing his original sketches and photographs of the instrument as well as samples of the cloth wire and other materials. “Unlike a mass-produced instrument,” Dantzig says, “this guitar has a history all its own that I’ve documented for the owner to cherish. It's shit full, anally retentive narrative like that that makes me want to punch people. I couldn't get that full of shit if i drove a dump truck of finest Columbian marching powder up my own arse.
  5. You MUST be American
  6. Well spotted Austin, i think he must have a gallon of the stuff. Is that a US Duncan, my eyes are so shot it looks like a far east one ?
  7. The duty's fuck all, it's the 20% VAT that's the killer. Some people will declare a lower sales price but remember if it takes a tumble the shipper will only pay to the declared value (if that) and it's no good saying that there's one on Ebay UK for twice what you declared, it's only your declared value. I've brought about a dozen, perhaps more, from the lower 48 over the last 12 years, all the carriers are as good or as bad as each other. USPS tends to come through Parcel Farce, DHL use their own all the way as do UPS. A lot of smaller 'shippers' will tell you we go fom here to there but often as soon as it's off their truck at their local depot it end's up on Fed Ex who don't have the best reputation for shipping guitars so ask the seller to check the situation before they send it. The only other thing, like so many things in life, is be prepared for "immaculate" to have a different meaning between buyer and seller !
  8. My first thought would be where the hell are you going to find room to put yet another battery ?
  9. I would be extremely honoured sir. I'm 35 mins from central London, half an hour from Gatwick airport and an hour from Heathrow. Oh, and mine's the 19th hence, to be honest, i tend to remember yours !
  10. Have a great day Steve
  11. Felicitations of the day guys
  12. Hell, i can actually remember being 45 !!! Have a rockin' day dude
  13. Well, I guess that the farmer wouldn't just give the fox the key to the henhouse, right? True, i had to cut my own key
  14. What are trying to imlpy there Chris
  15. Unless i'm seriously mistaken these are nothing to do with Hamer, just Kaman's own brand Korean shredder's which i pressume they dropped when Hamer started their import line in the early 90's.
  16. Very reminiscant of some of the post punk pre goth electronica that was around the underground scene in the UK in the early 80's. Please don't take offence but i didn't think you lot over there had it in you - inspired stuff indeed.
  17. The subject has pretty well been done to death over the past ten years, only surpassed by "when will they make Californians again"
  18. Not sounding funny but i think we couldn't be arsed because the list is endless: Cali / Diablo / Centaura / Steve Stevens / Charvel's / Jacksons / Suhr's / Caparisons / Valley Art's etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.........basically most things that don't say Fender on the headstock.
  19. And the Horus is at a slight slant as well.
  20. They aren't popular because they are useless. How many songs do you know that use those frets? I am sure they can be used for original music, but they have a very limited use. So, never play anything in 'G' then
  21. Have a great day John and remember - ride it like you stole it
  22. Enjoy Chris - if you manage to dig yourself out !
  23. He did and this was apparently the excuse that PRS came first. That was a few years back and i don't know how true it was.....mind you i read it on the internet so it must be true Oh, as for Gotoh: i use their floyd's a lot now and they use a set screw - unfortunatley i don't get involved in girlie trems so i can't say what the traditional ones use.
  24. Knowing a few builders around the world this unfortunatley isn't unheard of with Mr Mann, although i will say i don't know one person who didn't get their bridge or who wasn't delighted with the bridge itself when they got it, just know a few who didn't get them anywhere near the projected delivery date.
