  1. check out Blockhead amps...
  2. I like that a lot.
  3. The tone is a little fuller and darker ( not nessecarily a good thing, and it's a Mohagony body) on my hardtail bridge custom Mockingbird than my Kahler Steeler ( brilliant copy of a Floyd Rose) equipped Robin Raider ( which is a very heavy piece of swampash). They both have EMG 81's. That's the main thing I notice, the Mockingbird is a little darker. But there are tricks you can do to a Floyd equipped guitar like this: http://www.tremol-no.com/
  4. I would say Alpep AND Kizanski are funnier than anyone listed on the poll. I've laughed more from those guys than all the rest of you guys put together. Kurtstuff pretty funny too, but in a different way
  5. You're joking right? Being from the Satriani/Vai school, I'm of the opinion that a non-recessed Floyd is sacriligeous! I guess it all depends on where you're from. I wouldn't touch a guitar with a non-recessed Floyd with a 10-foot pole!! I thought something looked wrong with that guitar, but I didn't realize what it was until Serial's commend on the pup mounting rings. I think it would definitely look better if they matched the binding. And also, the headstock should be bound. Anyway, this gives me hope that someday, when I save up the thousands of dollars it will require, I'll be able to get my Watson with a Floyd -Austin +1 wht's the point if it ain't recessed? And why is that not the "Proper" way to mount a Floyd?
  6. Stike, you should also at least take a look at the Carl Martin Hyrda-boost. It sounds great and is true bypass. Around $80 bucks new...no pop, I use mine in my fx loop for a solo boost. I love it.
  7. IF Hamer ever did get back into the shred game, they really need to make the necks thinner. IMO
  8. Muse Cafe Chris NOOOOO!!! not the Throne of Humiliation!!!
  9. Blackplague, Fuck these guys...wait, I'm one of these guys. Just e-bay it as a package ok.
  10. Jack, you just wished you had hair period. It's too easy.
  11. I like it. I always liked those Les Paul Custom SG's. If it only had EMG's...hehehe
  12. Chris, while I like the occasional "ASS" bone movie, I gave those to my drummer who is the "Ass Master" man you should've seen his face, it was like Christmas, and his Birthday all rolled into one.
  13. what do you need? the part that screws into the guitar or the part that goes on the gtr strap? I have an extra set for the strap side, but not for the gtr side. Blue movies?...don't you mean Bone movies?
  14. Or move to Detroit! now that's funny.
  15. All pre-me playing the guitar Hendrix- when I was a kid Joe Perry- when I was a kid, cuz he looked really cool with a cigarette dangling from his mouth and the guitar was real low. Queen-I wanted to be a singer originally and thought Freddy Mercury was the best. EVH- what can I say? Angus Young, great player, great songs, and looked cool. Ted Nugent The Cars Tony Iommi Then Everything Changed: Dave Murray and Adrian Smith I saw Metallica so Hetfield and Hammet, that's when I knew I was going in a lot harder direction. This was 1984. The Accusseds Tommy Niemeyer-incredibly fast power chords, his left had/arm was like a robot/six million dollar man, a freakin blur! Prongs Tommy Victor- that guy takes a less is more aproach, plus he and I have become friends. Also my Band Force Fed is named after Prongs second CD. Coroners Tommy Impelreti-that dude smokes, he can play every style known to man and play it well. Carcass's Bill Steer and later Mike Ammot Then the top five guys on my influence sheet are: David Gilmour Joe Walsh Alex Lifeson pre Moving Pictures Tony Iommi Angus Young Then there are a few local guys, Greg Martin from Deadhorse, very Joe Walsh-ish in a Death metal text. Stuart Lawrence from Agony Column and Jason Frankhouser who plays in about 10 bands and my band happens to be one of them.
  16. I'd have to say Mulletallica as well, I mean the first four CD's are stellar, nobody has touched them. Master of Puppets to me is very much like Back in Black or Highway to Hell, they're still relevant today, timeless.
  17. Saxon, I disagree, what about the track " Cheap Date"? In the back of my dads ranchero...
  18. Who is Wezzer?
  19. DUDE! How much are paypal fees by the way? BUMP for a bud.
  20. Oh yea, I forgot about ol' Charlie Watts.
  21. Yea, give me a break, ZZTop are the original memebers who have recorded on all ZZTOP albums, it's not like they're Credence Clearwater Revisited, or the other bands you mentioned. How about the Stones? Keith and Mick are the only ones left.
  22. I'm gonna stick with the RM100 for now, I just haven't given it much of a chance, and i was thinking the same thing, run two SL+ mods. How does the XTC mod sound for leads?
  23. I did not like the Recto mod and now that I have the SL+ mod the Modern mod doesn't sound that great either...I would think the CL has more gain than these modules?
