I haveto agree with wyldbil on this one... use what you want to... try a few brands out... spend the money... leave em on for a week then try soemthign new.... its like sex.... experiment.... personally i use ERNIE BALL 8-38... always have always will...( used to live near the factory in San Luis Obispo Ca.) cant stand them thick ass strings.... people alwasy go .. i break them to easily... no jackass you jsut try to hard to impress so you thrash and pick to damn hard..... its one thing to know all those scales you try to play at 100 miles per hour you play... its another thing to put feeling behind so actual music... Angry sound........ hehe ill have to agree with Dave on this one... 3 is way to uncontrolable im surprised your not getting a ton of feedback no matter were you stand when your not playing........ this might sound like an odd question but are you tryin to emulate someones sound or coming up with your own?.. im not a fan of racks at all but ya might think of trying some of those units out that you can control the wave on more than a pedal... have ya tried an old lab series amp at all for the sound either? Im tryin to get the sound i had when i started playin my 3rd amp was a lab series and i wish i would have kept it... anyways running three units consec. like Dave said gets alot of unwanted noise.. (try not to flame me to hard for this one but its a suggestion even though i wont set foot in 1) if theres a Guitar Center nearby go try out all the pedals and racks they have... they dont care hehe they see dollar signs... that might help.. maybe... In the 80s i uses straight up Sunn nothing fancy no pedals.... now i use only ampeg... i can get what ever sound i want jsut by changing basses and a tad of dial...(not soap) Sir DOuglas Randy

Drunks are the most irratating thing when you are in the midle of a set... some ripped up jackass comes up and wants to talk to you... OR they want to touch yer equipment..... i tell em flat out.. look buddy just 1 of those 12vers is worth more than ANY vehicle you will ever own....swhy dont you go over there and bother that really tore up guy... he looks like he needs a friend...people are ignorant and stupid...wanting to use yer equipment thinking theyre the entertainer when all there are is your money source for the gig haha... but its onlya few of em...not all of em ae jsut dumb drunks... oh well play for the enjoyment of the music... and free beer and chicken....
