I was more of a Yes fan back in the prog rock days ... but really more of a King Crimson fan now that I think about it ... and early Genesis w/Peter Gabriel

When I was in college (early 80's) my girlfriends little brother bought a copy of 2112 ... He hence (being a juvenile delinqent and frequently in trouble with the law) put all his other rush records tapes etc in a pile on the front lawn of his mothers house and set them on fire. proclaiming 2112 was the best Rush album ever and the only one anyone should own. I never heard it having only owned "Moving Pictures" (which was quite enough, thank you, as Geddy Lee's voice is just a bit much for me to handle) but was always curious as to the greatness or lack thereof of this legendary slab o wax. So yesterday when the local CD shop had a going out of business sale I took the oppourtunity to purchase the remastered deluxe version for $9 bucks ... No bad, Not bad ... the concept album format gives us listeners a break from Geddys voice at times and has some really great drumming/guitar work going on Any other fans of 2112? Opinions etc etc ?

well, I do see your point but really aren't all opinions subjective? C'mon you can tell if a guitar is resonant or not, can't you? You're just being intentionally difficult. Its like saying "well I can't tell if this guitar is heavy or not ... compared to an armored car it's light but pretty sure its heavier than your average Mars bar" I don't think the buyer is asking if it's the most resonant Special ever made etc etc "Resonant" is just not in the "Mojo" or "buttah" category, period

Actually I think the tone on the Boogie is (slightly) better ... But the Koch is so versatile with the 50w/100w switch and all the other goodies, I can get by rather well with that one amp. I really want to try it with EL34's. I'm not destined to be an amp collector nor do I have the dosh. So the Boogie has to go Thanks Andy! (Sounds just fine at low volume ... Old Mr Koch must know what hes doin')
