Jimi used drugs as a release from all the pressure that record companies put on him. At one time he was playing 300 gigs a year plus recording. It's not like he was a f'ed up drug addict that just happened to be good at playing guitar. Could anyone here just even travel to 300 different locations in a year without being a nervous wreck? Let alone playing perfectly every night and pleasing millions of fans? Recently I had to travel out of town for a month to restore a mural and just had to deal with ONE really picky unreasonable person. I'm still recovering

3way switch with S1 ... WCR crossroads

I always thought Strats should exist only in their purest single coil form ... Until I realized i liked everything about my Strat except the single coils. Voila! Thanks to a great collaboration with Velorush this beauty came to be. Sounds and plays amazing YES!

Yeah, it's weird. I guess he wound all the pickups at his house in the Sierras but the company was actually owned by someone else ... i don't know the details. He talks briefly about it on his Facebook page. Jim Wagner is his name, you can probably "friend him" and find out more if you're interested. I know he is still making pickups but under his own name. I don't think you can get the WCR branded pickups from him any longer and I don't know if anyone else is making them or if they would be the same.

SH5 bridge sounded good in my Blitz (if you don't want to go boutique) and its great for hard rock ... and I've heard people like the custom custom even better. The Bare knuckles Mule is the best neck pickup I've ever owned (although I didnt like the mule bridge as much) and the Rio texas/barbecue set is a perennial favorite. I think just about all the WCR pickups are good also and Jim is a great guy (However he split from WCR and has a different company now so you might want to buy used on ebay etc.)

If your willing to spend the money a Bare knuckles mule sounds better than anything I've ever tried neck position/special but I have no idea how it compares to the original Dimarzio. The rule of thumb around here is "Always follow, ZMB's advice" He spends a lot of time figuring this stuff out and truly is an expert So what I would do is purchase a high quality vintage wiring kit with new switch etc... see how that works first. and then a Air classic to use while your original pick up is being repaired IMHO of course

Are you on that diet for your High Blood Pressure? Good for you. I was a vegan for a few years back in the 80s. Gave it up for Lent or something. I don't remember. I actually ended up having to go on BP medication. Thanks for asking. I had almost forgotten how horrible that experience was myself. Yikes! Diet and exercise, weight loss, supplements etc. didn't seem to effect my BP whatsoever. Dr. said it's probably just genetic and/or having to do with getting older. Meaning "Uh, we dont fucking know, next!" I'm improving my diet / working out etc. because A. I still want to get laid occasionally B. Sometimes my painting/carpentry work is very physically demanding and I need to work in order to survive.

What my diet currently consists of is ... chicken, brown rice, avocados, lettuce, tomatoes, organic corn tortillas, gluten free oatmeal, green tea, agave nectar, yams, butter, eggs, chilies, dark chocolate and red wine

Gluten free is the way to go JB ... you should try it too. I lost 15lbs without even trying and look/feel >>> Fantastic! LOL Well "fantastic" might be an exaggeration but "pretty darn good" is not. I just drink wine instead of beer and have my burgers lettuce wrapped when I go out to a hamburger joint... ( I still insist on having a order of fries every week or two ) Save money, lose weight, be healthy ... fucking wheat has been genetically modified since the 60's or before ... it doesnt even remotely resemble wheat anymore. Wheat and high fructose corn syrup ... the reason you see so many fat teenagers/children these days

Fortunately for you ... microwave popcorn has a bunch of weird shit in it plus its made with GMO corn. Pan, oil, butter, salt ... organic popcorn. Cheap and easy.

The best thing to do is find a old beat up toaster oven second hand at a thrift store or craigslist etc. The older the better... toastmaster is a good one. Sears brand also. You can heat up anything quickly without those nasty microwaves. Use less power than the full size oven for sure. $20-$30 . The new toaster ovens I have used don't seem to work as well. I dunno ... mojo?
