  1. You could always just increase by one the number of guitars you allow yourself to have. Just spend, don't analyze. You're in no danger of turning into Nathan.
  2. It's the best one I've ever seen, and a great price for it. Is everyone in the HFC on some sort of buying lockdown lately? Where did all the <SOLD!> threads go?
  3. That's cute how you think he might still have any of those.
  4. You guys are nuts. He's just selling a guitar.
  5. I have only known about Satsuma for a couple of years now, and I stumbled upon him when I decided I was finally going to learn Crazy Train correctly, start to finish (of course, I never actually did this). The guy is a fantastic player. Be sure to check out his other videos. I revisited his channel today and clicked on this one and found it surprisingly fun to watch. "Night Ranger" is something I've never typed into YouTube's search box, but I think this was a cool find.
  6. I'm sure pretty much everyone here is familiar with this Satsuma dude, but I don't think I've ever listened to this particular one. I enjoyed it, so I'm forcing it on you too.
  7. My current guitar is a pretty expensive one so I changed my vote, but the sentimental value is around a beeelion dollars.
  8. I'm glad the playing was disappointing.
  9. I'm a little disappointed if I'm being honest. I assumed they'd be more shiny and come with strings.
  10. I don't want to bug Mike, so I'll ask here...will there be any possibilities of things like Monacos or Newports, or are those more in the realm of expensive CNC and such? Please don't answer this question in any way that makes me consider ordering something.
  11. You are no longer a filler guy. Congrats!
  12. You can't even tell anything happened even when sitting here in the room staring at it. No sonic change as far as I can tell - it still makes me sound like an uncoordinated bungler.
  13. Pretty amazing, huh? My guitar guy is a wizard. The Beck-Beach Boys setlist is his gift to me as a Beck Fanboi (he is Beck's tech).
  14. I'd like to wish everyone involved enormous success with this venture.
  15. I had the SonicPort, and it was excellent for my needs. Other interfaces do more, and as you can see there are many choices. The SonicPort came with both a 30pin and a Lightning cable, accepts an auxiliary input alongside the guitar, and has a headphone jack and a stereo 1/4" output. I used it mostly with JamUp, playing over backing tracks or along with other tunes in my iTunes library. The app loads anything in your library and lets you adjust pitch, speed, volume, etc. It also has a multitrack recorder (2 channels by default, but you can purchase an expansion to use eight). I would load the backing track into the first track, then record the guitar into the second track. Naturally it also has all the standard features one would expect (tuner, metronome...), and to my ears the modeled amps and effects sounded great. The app is quite inexpensive for what it does, and it worked perfectly with the SonicPort. The SonicPort also gives you free access to Line 6's Mobile POD app, which is also quite good. I preferred the JC120 preset on Mobile Pod and thought that maybe some of the amps felt more 'real,' but i spent most of my time in JamUp. The SonicPort is only for iOS devices, so you wouldn't be able to use it as a computer interface. I liked the SonicPort and didn't need to spend any more for a more sophisticated interface. If you have more complex needs, it may not do what you want. Edited to add that I tend to practice with some moderately difficult to drive Beyerdynamic DT880 headphones, and the SonicPort provided sufficient volume.
  16. I have a well-known unbiased position that the Monaco III is Hamer's greatest invention.
