  1. Oh yeah, I had one of those. It actually left in a guitar sale because I forgot it was on there. The buyer thanked me for including it. The ratchet part seemed a little flimsy, but I don't think I would have broken it. Mine tuned/locked-on a little too slowly, but maybe it was just an old battery. Also bear in mind that I can be an idiot. I thought my display was screwed up out of the box, but eventually I figured out there was a sample display sticker over the actual display. Thanks.
  2. I have now broken three Snarks at the little ball joint. I'm not rough on my gear, but I must be finding just the right angle to snap them. I'm having trouble rationalizing the Peterson, but I'll listen to your reviews if you have one. This ugly Boss would seem to eliminate the weak spot, and it looks like it opens wide enough for a classical. Any advice? Bonus Hamer content here - you wouldn't think a tuner review video could be entertaining, but it is:
  3. So, about $20,000 in guitars and $500 in amps? I think you need more amps.
  4. Congrats. Good choice - those are really nice guitars.
  5. I don't have an M3 in front of me, but I don't think you're going to get that control plate with the pots on it out through a pickup route - I think it has to come out through the f-hole. At least, that's what I ended up thinking would have to be done when I inspected mine and decided not to touch anything. As always, I am likely to be wrong. Edited to add that in either case, of course it can be done, and it would be easy enough, but it's too much hassle for little ole me. Maybe Mike tinkered a lot before deciding on that final layout and finally got sick of the limited access. Still a way cool guitar in my book.
  6. That belongs to a fine HFC member, and those are some great mods imhfo. I bet that guitar can do everything. Good price too. I'm surprised it is still for sale. Personally I think it would be a bitchin' Rising Sun candidate.
  7. This seems like the highest praise, confidence and support of Monsieur Shishkov. You guys are great - this is cool to see happening.
  8. You know, I threw some cream covers on them, and as they say, I went right back to black. I am really impressed with the Flitz results - it was a quick and impressive transformation. Thanks again for the advice. I just want to know were my "U' is.
  9. SO...MUCH.....SHINY. Thank you again everyone. The guitar is saved. Flitz!
  10. Flitz! I am a believer. Now I need to do the rest of it. Good stuff. This is about two minutes of effortless light polishing with a microfiber cloth. Thanks, HFC experts.
  11. Thanks all. I hear you loud and clear in your advice to order a new bridge.
  12. This is probably the greatest guitar I have touched since I was born. It has at least another four hours.
  13. Evidently New York is a humid place filled with sweaty guitarists. My new guitar's hardware all seems to have dulled/hazed/something. Most of it is just sort of a mild, even cool looking, aged look. The bridge has it pretty bad though. What is the best thing to do here? Can it be cleaned up without risking making it worse? Replace the bridge? Sell it to burningyen? Leave it alone and pretend I'm a real guitarist that puts wear on guitars?
  14. Where's my "U?" Did they forget to double bind some of the early ones? What a POS.
  15. I don't even have it yet! You can see the pics in the link Ben posted just above, or in the crème P90 covers thread. Edit - hereya go:
  16. Ha! The line is out the door already.... Burningyen and I have been at this so long that he is the full owner of RoFR on this one. We've also got veatch, Michael_B, and one or two others. I'll add you to the list. Thanks!
  17. Nah, with Bubs it's probably some hideous floral Phantom monstrosity. Mike, just say no.
  18. Is this guitar seriously still for sale? You guys are idiots.
