the fact is that I couldn't substitute Snake Oil Rock Formula with other strings. They sound amazing. And to me they cost pretty much the same as Thomastiks and less than Elixirs. Easy choice, as long as Dean delivers them! I remember I've got Reddie with 11s loaded. They sounded ok. When I have changed to Snake Oil's 10s, I had to lower pups quite a lot, as they where much louder and had much powerfull tone in them.

well, I am sure Hamer can do well without Jol. I do hope they will do their management and marketing thing right and we won't see Hamer branded Hendrix signature grand piano and I am sure Jol can do well without Hamer. I've been in Jol's place when sold my business and then had to leave my baby (I have created whole market from scratch with my company and then sold it), and I do better now than then. There are two guaranteed things in life - everybody will die one day and nothing is forever. Lets see what Jol does next.

ok, my biggest regret... Brad Whitford of Aerosmith was unloading lots of his guitars/amps year or two ago. All stuff of course was on ebay and attracted high bids, so I gave up... to find out later that one Daytona went for 900$, which was nice guitar by itself and owned by one of my most favored band's member. Jeeez, I'm still feel kinda stupid I stopped looking at the list of gear... Now guys you tell something more interesting. like not taking Zakk Wylde's instrument he generosly offered for free if you buy him a beer in the pub where he was already having too much, or something

to me main difference is this "slinkier" feel, which significantly influence my playing style, as I am big bender, do lots of wide vibrato and "bend, vibrate, pull-off" at the same time trick guy. SOB's "stiff" feel was punishing to my hands in the beggining, but at the ent improved the way I have sounded with all this stuf I do. SIT sounded quite well, and I am waiting for a set of 11s, maybe that will help.

Strings are not vaporware, customer service is. I am also interested how SOB is delivering, as my stash is going low and after trying SIT for a month I would say SOB is whole head above

this is one of the best options you can get if you want that classic Marshall sounds in combo version and not breaking the bank. I was chasing one for a year in europe, but since ended up with another option gave up. good luck with the sale and free bump!

well, in our studio most of the stuff sometimes catch russian famous radio "Mayak" ("The Beacon"). It very well depends on the quality of the cables used. We switched to the good ones and it went away.
