Feynman Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Ben Woods was a masterful musician (check out both his traditional flamenco and Flametal stuff if you're interested). He died much too young a couple of years ago. In any case, perhaps a couple of you will enjoy this. I dig it. 9 4 Quote
Jeff R Posted August 26, 2024 Posted August 26, 2024 Thanks for sharing. My daughter (the one at Roberto-Venn in PHX) has been sending me vids of her new boyfriend, also a student at R/V, playing classical. He's really, really good, so much that he's inspired me to try and learn a new trick or two. Thus I plan to get my first-ever nylon before the end of the year. Ironically, I've been eyeing Cordoba cutaways. 4 Quote

The playing is amazing, but I think what impressed me most is the arrangement. Lynch needed multiple (dozens?) of guitar parts on his original recording. Ben chose to skip some of the harmony lines, but it didn't detract at all. It was clearly Mr. Scary through and through. Just really cool! Quote
