zorrow Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 They have arrived, my Sonic Explorer x 2, by Paolo Salcuni. Haven’t tried them plugged, but they feel great in my hands and are surprisingly light. They came with hard cases, which I wasn’t expecting. Tone report will follow as soon as I’ll have time for that. Cheers! 21 Quote

RobB Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Glorious. Are the body thicknesses Gibson or Hamer-esque? 1 Quote

I will compare them side-by-side to my Standards, and then I’ll let you know. I remember one of The Twins mentioned here that these guitars looked Gibson-like pointy. To be continued… 1 Quote

I haven’t had time today, because my kid is studying for a math exam and I’m the “math guy” at home. I’m still working with him. 🤷🏻♂️ 7 Quote

Obviously favors his mother’s side of the family… 3 Quote

Hamerica Posted September 19, 2024 Posted September 19, 2024 Zorrow, Congrats on the latest acquisitions! Looks like your son is doing some algebra, I flunked algebra. Would it happen to be group theory? If so, can I borrow him? I need him to assist me in figuring out how I can increase my group (Hamer collection) without my wife becoming suspicious . Specifically Vector Spaces or in this case, spaces for more Vectors. Lately when I look at the formula it looks like this XX + XY = (NMH)* *No more Hamers. Whatever formula you are using, it looks like you got the solution. Seriously, congrats on the new guitar day! Hamerica 5 Quote

Hamerica The formulas are XY + XX = zMH and XY + MH = zXX Where z always solves to zero, where MH = More Hamers. FWIW, this equation XX + XY + MH usually solves to an imaginary number, whereas XX + MH is irrational. Edited September 19, 2024 by alantig 4 Quote

Hamerica Algebra, yes, as I mentioned above. I love math, I develop software professionally, so one could say math indirectly pays my bills… as well as my guitars. Yet, “The Boss” is keeping an eye on me. I’ve been in a buying spree lately, given I’m gravitating more to Explorers now than to Vees, and things have gone out of control —a couple of days ago I was talking to Gene (@BTMN) about this. In short, if I do the math, this has to stop! 😛 5 Quote
BTMN Posted September 20, 2024 Posted September 20, 2024 Tough equation seems to be XX + Time = NMNGD 2 Quote
