PSA: SOLD 2008 Ovation VXT Hybrid At DGS

I'm also curious to know if Hamer built that model for Ovation.

I talked with Alpep about these several years back. I think the same CNC was used but it was all put together on the Ovation side of the factory. I know Jol had some input on the design. The neck looks to be one piece as well, so it breaks with the Hamer three piece neck assembly.

Looking at that rear carve/sculpting and wood quality, I have to agree with you.   I would think the wood came from the Hamer stockpile.

Sure, the body looks fine, but I admire anybody who can get past this headstock:

I doubt it is an accident that the main photo did not show the headstock.  Maybe you could just trim off the stupid, red part.

I believe the "red" part is just the natural finish of the mahogany neck.

The Ovation doesn’t look TOO bad, kind of like cross between a Talladaga  and a Kammerer (whatever happened to @Nathan of Brainfertilizer Fame?)

Hey @crunchee, what was Dave’s asking? There are a few black ones and a red one on Reverb but they don’t look as nice as the natural one Dave’s had.
