Looks like mahogany to me...

Hog. Notice the open grain requiring filler. Maple won't have that.

Looks like mahogany. Cherry over maple should be quite a bit lighter.

I’d lean toward mahogany, if possible remove the truss rod cover and see what color the wood is.

81 Gibson started coming back to Mahogany necks. I had seen 81 LP Standard/Deluxes with both.
