Maybe, to prevent the improvised smashing of another priceless antique Martin, but I'm not gonna be shocked if he has a genuine Nocaster or 50s Gibby sacrificed in a future pic.

The pickup shape is problematic if you decide to replace them, kinda like those weird G&L Pbass looking pups.

Steep! so many great builders come to mind before shelling out that amount on a new brand with just another take on some eff me classics.

I love what Nik Huber does, Krautsters II and III, Dolphins,  I'd be very tempted to try a Novo Serus J, not sure what Mike Shishkov is up to for now but of course he is someone with great taste who will factor in lots of personal ideas and they are all below that price bracket.
