Brewmaster Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 What, you don't like the clean looking ones like this?(Btw, it's NOT for sale, I'm just trying to make your LP jones a little more intense.) That's my favorite LP color. I have a 57 RI Goldtop, natural back and neck. Looks wise it's just another Goldtop so no pic. Sounds and plays like a LP is supposed to. Oh yeah.......not for sale either.
kurtsstuff Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 thought you were jonesin for a Mako amp...don't sell it till you've played on it . I got way too many amps that add up to way too much money tied up....thats why I'm considering selling it before I get it from Mako....Ya don't miss what ya never had....lol!
kurtsstuff Posted September 16, 2006 Author Posted September 16, 2006 thought you were jonesin for a Mako amp...don't sell it till you've played on it . your right Scott.....I'd be goin nuts "wondering".....ain't for sale until I play it...
Scottcrud Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I've heard nothing but good things about Mako amps. I talked to the Mako guy a few years ago, about building me a two channel ( clean and hi gain) amp, I just wish I had $1800.00 at the time. I still don't but, all the amps I've owned since then, I coulda easily afforded one. Let me know how it sounds compared to your Deizals and such.
seeker Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Get yerself a Heritage from Kalamazoo. I'm not itching anymore.
danhops Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I have a Makoplex, and its an awesome amp. The guys who have played it also have played Andrews CHW model, and did not like it, but loved my amp. Gainwise, I'd put it in the Soldano camp, but with a smoother. Its currently at Andrews shop getting the latest mods, and I honestly cant wait for it to come back:)
danhops Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Get yerself a Heritage from Kalamazoo. I'm not itching anymore. Got this Heritage 150 a few years back after it came, I sold my Gibson and bought this no more LP GAS
MCChris Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 I'm loving all the dual-zebra humbucker looks Im seeing. Love that combo on figured sunburst maple.

kurtsstuff Posted September 17, 2006 Author Posted September 17, 2006 Hey Dan??...did you get Todd's Makoplex??
danhops Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Hey Dan??...did you get Todd's Makoplex?? Nah, mine was straight from Andrew. I had an order for the CHW, for a year or so, and then switched to the Plex because I preferred the sound from the clips I had heard. Glad I did.

elduave Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 danhops-Are those both Heritage's? Wow! Dave's LP is gorgeous too...
DaveH Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 What, you don't like the clean looking ones like this?(Btw, it's NOT for sale, I'm just trying to make your LP jones a little more intense.) Thanks Dave....bastid....hehe Kurt, would you be interested in a Heritage? It has minor play wear, the hardware that is nickel has a nice patina to it, and it had a fret dress by Mark Erlewine shortly before I aquired it. Plays great, and it has Gibson '57 Classics in both positions.

Scottcrud Posted September 18, 2006 Posted September 18, 2006 Mark Erlwine is THE MAN in Austin Texas, and his prices reflect it. He quoted me $250 to fret level/dress my Robin neck, which tells me he's really not interested in doing a fret dress these days.Killer Heritage BTW.
kurtsstuff Posted September 18, 2006 Author Posted September 18, 2006 That bridge and roller saddle will have to go though....
Kurt L Posted September 19, 2006 Posted September 19, 2006 "That bridge and roller saddle will have to go though.... " Actually, that's my old Heritage and I really liked the tailpiece and roller bridge. Super comfortable, never noticed any negative impact on tone or sustain. Dave, if other Kurt doesn't want it and you're serious about getting rid of it, I wouldn't mind getting that one back from you. E-mail me - kliptak AT austin DOT rr DOT com
