ZR Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Does the tone pros system really help with tone? sustain?
sw686blue Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 Dang, Nick! That's a beauty! Thanks brother! Does the tone pros system really help with tone? sustain? To be honest, I don't know. When I bought the guitar I never really compared the 2 different tailpieces. For me, the Pigtail and TonePros are miles ahead of the Wilkinson. Lighter, secures the tailpiece, better transfer of energy (my opinion) and intonable for the pussies like myself who are intonation freaks .
Jeff R Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 I "think" the Tonepros adds a little sustain and tone.I "know" the Tonepros keeps the tailpiece from flying all about (and likely preventing dings all over the top) when you're trying to change strings.

Brewmaster Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 It's the biggest bang for the $$$ in the Hamer line. Somebody needs to grab this one WITH the Tone Pros.
MCChris Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 It's the biggest bang for the $$$ in the Hamer line. Even as the prices climb ever so slightly to a number closer to what these guitars are actually worth. Y'know I love mine, also fully intonatable:
