eightyfour Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 Nice...death metal bird nest head, meets Thomasville.
Travis Posted May 3, 2005 Posted May 3, 2005 Man, those points are going to chip like a mofo. Is it just me, or does there seem to be a little too much spave between the bridge and the end of the body? The quilt looks sweet, though.
atquinn Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I poked my eye out just looking at the picture! -Austin
Jason01 Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I don't care for the widow headstocks but thats really nice looking. Are the V points that long or is that just some camera illusion? Seems like you'd break off a corner pretty easy.
formula73 Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 Those points are just a Jr V thing. I used to have a 97 throughneck USA Standard Jr V and it was just like that, albeit beveled, blacked out, and Floyded with green arrowhead inlays at the 12th fret. Some shithead stole it.Edited to add: I don't much dig the Widow hs either. Mine had the 6inline reverse(not the big goofy style, the little one!)

And not enough space between the pickups...Very nice looking piece tho!
jujisque Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 And not enough space between the pickups... One reason I think I like 22 fret guitars better than 24.
wgarces Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 I think the large space between the bridge and the end of the body looks cool. It makes the guitar look bigger than it really is, but I think that the volume knob closest to the bridge pickup could've been moved further back. I play a strat and the knob being close to the pickup has it's advantages and disadvantages. But more of the former I believe, especially on a shredder such as this. Also, I think they should have streamlined the headstock more to fit with the look of the body. Just look at any other pointy guitar and you'll see what I mean!

adferreira Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 Color is awesome, shape is cool. I just can't play V's. Else the UberVector would have been mine.
Guest teefus2 Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 Nice...death metal bird nest head, meets Thomasville. could not have said it better myself.
