WTB: Your Eclpise

I want that goofy greenish metallic, maybe flip-flop colored beater you haven't taken out of the case in 6 months. You know the one; kinda strange shape, obnoxious Duncan mini's and that horrible wrap-around tailpiece. Sure it's comfy and light, but it never got along well with your amp or the other Hamer's in the collection. Kind of a "black sheep" if you will. Gimme. Z@612-703-3990

Or, if you don't have one of those, a green ECLIPSE would do nicely. <_<:P Z

I have something you may be interested in. USA Eclipse, trans green, very good condition, except the original pickups are gone and replaced with a black P-90 (Lollar IIRC) in the neck and a black P-90 sized Bill Lawrence dual blade mini-bucker in the bridge. The original wraparound bridge and posts are in the case, replaced with black TonePros locking studs and a black lightweight (correctly) compensated stoptail. The frets are in excellent condition and nothing has been broken or repaired. Ebony tuner buttons complete the black on green color scheme (originals in case).

I could reinstall the original hardware and replace the bridge humbucker with a P-90 very easily.

I'm thinking $600 shipped w/ OHSC. I can take photos if you like.

Dave: If he doesn't want that one, let's talk.

Nice "wingman" move on that sale <_<

LOL! No, I actually want it! My first Hamer was a wraptail Eclipse. I loved EVERYthing about that guitar but the pickups. The P90 / blade mini humbucker sounds like a perfect combination. Plus, I'm digging the Eclipse thing again after getting my Eclipse 12 string.

I'm actually really digging the stock Duncans and am hoping for a metallic green above all, so keep diggin' y'all! I might just have to get one painted all custom like, we'll see. <_< Z

Medium neck, measures 0.86" at the first fret, 0. 89" at the 12th.

Weight: 7.6 lbs.

a few little dings, nothing serious, some finish lifting around the bridge inserts indicating that they may have been pulled and replaced at some point (possibly substituting U.S. for metric studs). Everything is sound and solid as a rock. Frets are like new.

I never really cared much for the body shape on these but the P90/wraparound concept is interesting.. The colors usually seem to be pretty cool too. Everything these days with p90s seem to have the TOM arrangment unless you get up to the high dollar stuff.. Do all Eclipses have wraparounds or just certain years?

I wish I could remember where I bought that compensated wrap-around bridge. It's the only version I've ever seen that has the string compensation correct for an unwound G. The usual suppliers like StewMac, Allparts, etc. sell replicas of the 50's models that put the G way out of whack.

Like so:

Badger, that is indeed a cool one. I thought my green was going to look like that but alas, it is a differing hue:

I really like the stock tones from this thing, so I think I'll hold out for a Candy Green/Flip-Flop stocker, or a $350 beater I can have painted up by a new shop I discovered. Thanks for the peek, though. DavidE to the white courtesy phone, please. <_< Z

I have what I believe to be a flip color green model at home. Been meaning to sell it. Later this evening, between porno shoots, I'll see if I can get a video of it posted, and let the folks determine the true color identity. I'll shoot regular pics too.

I think that Gibson, in one of their endless stream of reissues, put a "correct" stairstep on one model. I don't recollect ever seeing one in black, though.

Dang, Dave, first the blue one, now this.

Click HERE for my Eclipse video. Not sure if this really is the flip flop green blue metallic, but it does look blue when viewed at an angle. But its not as pronounced as the finishes you see on custom show cars.

Please stand by while You Tube continues to piss me off because the video ain't workin'.
